Great connection to back home, great to stay in touch and hear Irish voices.

I am of the second generation of Irish family to be born in America. RTÉ keeps me feeling more connected wether listening to 1 or to Raidió na Gaeltachta to always keep my tongue in check. I have been listening to RTÉ for several years, appreciating the variety of music available (mostly on Lyric) and the announcers who select and introduce it and comment upon it. I have been introduced to music I would never have otherwise heard but which have become favorites. The recent redesign is quite good, easy to navigate, especially among the various RTÉ channels, and within each one. The information about the currently-playing music is most welcome (especially ‘through the night’, but all of them). Really quite well done and welcome. Thanks for a reliable listening expereience. Great app for at home or if you’re not driving. But if driving the lack of CarPlay support is blatantly obvious. Would be really nice to see CarPlay added as is the case in most other similar national broadcaster apps. Show more

What’s going on with RTÉ, loved listening to radio shows. Now the stations won’t play anymore....just buffering nonstop...gave up, switched to BBC Radio player...awesome.

This is an easy to use connection to RTÉ radio. It can be easily set to default to the Irish language station and when I upgraded my IOS and wiped my settings it took less than a minute to reset. I can listen to old shows or live shows without having to jump through all the usual podcast hoops. Show more

I'm pretty happy with the RTÉ app. It has maintained a consistent, delightfully colourful look, is stable, and plays all the wonderful streams from old Ireland which keep some of us happy out in the boonies of the USA. I especially love to listen to Raidio na Gaeltachta, helping me maintain my cupla focail. It is nice to scroll back and replay programs immediately. The simplicity of this design is well worth copying. (CoughCBCCough) The music is a delight, as are the talk programs. Thank you, RTÉ. Don't change a thing! Show more

This version takes 15 seconds to open up, long time, but at least it opens, unlike the last version.

I love the aps and love the content it gives me access to. I rely on it every week.

I wish that you could look up past shows on the player, like on the website. Perhaps an update is in order to make this possible?

Only had this for one day, but I can't figure out if there is a way to see the title or artist of the song playing... Also, it has stopped on it's own. So far, a bit disappointing. Show more

Works very well on my iPad here in Texas. I think the problems reported by other listeners has to do with the Internet connection speed.

Only streams audio for 5 minutes then stops. Bummer :-/

This needs to be updated for iPhone 5 or ios 6 keeps pausing while streaming using LTE / 4G and wifi. In many occasions it was that bad I have had changed over to news talk app. Do not get this until the bug is fixed. Show more

does nt start playing on a slower connection whereas the old version played away happily. hard to figure out the schedule with time differences - seems to always show 5pm for some reason. would be better if it was simpler, less flashy, but more focus on doing the business. Show more

Works well. Keeps me occupied on my morning runs all the way out in the San Francisco area.

Rte radio apps does not work. Please fix.
