    Great!
A great app. The best metronome for drummers.

    Works fine but not great
When this app was first released it was great! Now through the course of various upgrades the ability to change the sounds of each note is MUCH more difficult. It used to be intuitive and quick, now it’s buried and I’ve actually given up in creating new saved items because I can’t figure out how to change sounds. It’s gotten worse with time. Show more

This is the best metronome I have ever found.
PolyNome is a fantastic metronome. It has everything a musician might need. Once you get the hang of it you will be glad you have it in your arsenal.

    Way. Too. Complicated.
I loved this when it first came out. But it has gotten far too complicated. You really need a more basic mode that folks can use. Until then, this paid app is being deleted. Show more

    PolyNome
I've recommended this app to several drummers (I think I have 4 or 5 different ones, but THIS one is the bomb). It goes way beyond any regular metronome. It reminds me of the ol' drum machines, capable of programming an exact groove, like The Purdie Shuffle, for instance. Dial in the swing amount, learn to play between the cracks-where it feels the best. Great for practice or gigging; you can set up playlists. Use it for keeping time (Duh), or for inspiration. Don't know why anyone would want more than what's offered here. It’s not just for music; you can get your proper tempo for a golf swing, either real golf or XBox Golf. Probably work for other sports too. If PolyNome won’t do something, I doubt that you need it to be done. You get an almost instant answer from tech support from the man himself, Joe Crabtree. PolyNome is built by a drummer FOR drummers. There’s a place for others to add to the library. You’ll see things like the “Purdue Shuffle, the “Take Five Vamp,” “Come Together,” “Good Times Bad Times” and so on. This is not JUST a metronome, not just a drum machine, it’s a rhythm machine that you can control and it will help you with your music. Remember this, “You can’t have a good time if you don’t have a good metronome.” Larry Rice Show more

This was great until 2.4.6 upgrade
I just upgraded to 2.4.6 and some basic functionality is broke. You can no longer set all tempos for presets in a playlist. I also noticed that playlist loop times are now set to 10-15 seconds. Don’t expect a quick response from support either. Since most of my playlists have multiple presets, this is now pretty much unusable. I will say that it was great for 9 months. Show more
