    DO NOT UPDATE
    All back issues have disappeared. Restore purchases does not work. Restore purchase button calls up an error dialogue. The mag itself is great. This app, however, is not.

    Recent update is a step backward
    Hopefully this is a temporary problem, but if you switch to another app while reading the magazine you always return to the cover page. Then you have to search to remember where you left off. It didn't used to do that. Also, if you are in the middle of an article and happen to jump back, even one page, when you return you are at the top again. Also a change from before. It's hard to understand how or why this setup would be implemented now. They are annoying constructs. The magazine, though, is great as always. Show more

    Terrible new version
    Everything that made the old version good and useful is now gone. Not sure who made the old version, but this new version is absolutely terrible. Aside from the now corrected issue with all back issues being unavailable, it looses a whole host of features, and yet, despite the iPad Pro being out for over a year, it still does not support the iPad Pro 12" features. Not sure what prompted this move, but please go back to the old version, this one is a subscription cancelling downgrade. Show more

    Back issues back, but...
    Other reviews for this version mention that you can't download back issues, even with a subscription. This looks like it's been silently fixed. There's still some interface downgrades in this 'upgrade,' however. Most notably if you read part of an article then start another, it forgets your place in the first one. Similarly, the ToC at the top forgets your place. Show more

    Buggy upgrade - lost access to subscription
    As other reviewers have mentioned, if you are a digital subscriber (via iTunes) this update renders the app useless. I've lost access to my subscription, can't log in, can't get back issues. Their support has been very slow and pretty useless. Show more

    Broken
    App will not download current paid issue, wiped previous issues, no response from developers after numerous attempts to contact.

    Useless app now
    Same story as the others. I've been a digital subscriber for years, had all my issues on the iPad, all favorite articles tagged, etc. Now it's all gone - the last update reset everything, and its all been deleted. All that money wasted, and time and effort as well. Lost my business, and I'll be sure to spread the word to others in the industry as well. Show more

    All issues purchased earlier cannot be restored. Value went from 5 down to 1.

    Do not purchase digital SOS magazines
    I have had a digital subscription for the last three years in an effort to cut down on the bulk of physical issues. Despite assurances on the website that I could access/download my purchased issues at anytime (and SOS's inane reluctance to allow paid subscribers to save purchased digital issues on their computer), I can no longer access any of my purchased issues before Jan 2016. Do not download this app or make any purchases until this is rectified. Show more

    New version is broken
    Restore purchases no longer works. I paid for a subscription, but cannot load any of the old issues. This app us useless until they fix this.

    Bad update
    New version Dec 22 doesn't recognize active sub, wiped all past issues, asks you to pay for them again.

    Don't upgrade to Dec 2016 version it will wipe past issues
    Upgraded only to see it delete prior issues I'd paid for...then it didn't recognize my still active subscription. Don't upgrade till they fix this. Not happy

    Really bummed!
    This was my favorite magazine for years, I have been using the iPad reader and recently it will not load any magazines and I can't even sign in to my account. Tried a few times to contact SOS and they never respond, really bummed I think these guys write some of the best reviews and I am surprised that they have not helped fix this issue. Show more

    great magazine
    best pro audio magazine - period very good navigation, zoom out to multi page view text is clear, easy to read ... but, please add iPhone support. My iPhone6 has higher screen resolution than original iPad Mini. Show more

    Does not work in landscape mode
    How the %$^& can you call it an iPad app if articles can't read it in landscape mode????? What is wrong with you greedy @$$#0)%$ At least have the decency to drop the price for this poorly developed pos. Show more

    Fantastic App and great magazine, but broken in iOS 8
    As mentioned above by another reviewer, the update to iOS 8 has rendered back-issues unavailable with no immediate fix. Blank covers and no functioning of the "restore all purchases" option. Hoping for an impending update to the app. Show more

    Fantastic Mag, Broken App Under iOS8
    I've read the magazine for years; it can't be beat for recording. But the latest update to iOS8 needs to have bugs fixed. Downloaded issues have vanished from my iPad, and cover images no longer appear in the Library. It's impossible to download back issues that have been bought, and Restore All Purchases doesn't.     Waste of Time
    I love sound on sound but... this app won't load my sub. and on here it says it's already downloaded. I'm gonna go through the trouble to try to get my money back. Tons of time wasted with this one Show more

    What a Mess!
    The app will not update from version 1.0.17 to version 2. I deleted the app from both the iPad and iTunes, re-downloaded and I get version 1.0.17 and iTunes shows there are no updates available. The SOS team has also decided that as a paid iPad subscriber you can only keep one previous and not re-download issues you already paid for. Show more
