    Keeps CRASHING!!!
I lost hours of work because there is no saving progressions. Get it together. I’m getting tired of tired old apps.

Great app with room for improvement
Best app for composing chord progressions. Where it could use improvement is on entering the rhythms, it’s a bit tedious. Also someway to pick which chord you start from on playback would be great. If you are working on a long progression it can be tiresome to have to hear the entire part you’re working on over and over just to see what minor rhythm changes will sound like. Though it should be said that w/ the pro version you can just use Suggester as an auv3 midi controller and just punch in the rhythms yourself within a daw. Still very useful app that is totally worth the iap price to upgrade to pro. Show more

    More features needed!
I bought the $10.99 subscription, and so far the app is...ok. Due to the perminance of the purchase I am not gonna be coming up with pitchforks and torches over it, but there are many things this app is lacking on, from big things like common instruments (ukelele, electric guitar, etc) to smaller things such as a way to change the direction, speed, and repeat of appreggiated chord playback (such as "up/down" instead of the default "up"). But rather than list all my complaints and suggestions, I will tell you the ONE thing that would make it all worth it: GarageBand (app) compatibility I mean, it might be more complicated than this, but I doubt there isn't some way that you could format chord arrangements into such a way that they could be saved to the files app in a form that is compatible for use with the GarageBand app. Whatever you do, maybe try making that possible before worrying about other features Show more

Best thing for a non-music theory producer
Thanks for this!! As a bedroom producer who only knows a little theory, this helped a lot coming up with ideas for random electronic music projects.

    Updates have reduced functionality
I was a big fan of this app, but I no longer am. With recent updates, functionality has been removed, especially in the area of being able to choose chords. I used to be able to use 9, 11, 13 chords, can’t anymore. I used to be able to choose sus chords, can’t anymore. I used to be able to add rests, can’t anymore. I guess if you just want to write songs with major and minor chords, have at it. But there are a lot more chords (that used to be available in free version) that are no longer accessible. For example, try to write a jazz tune without the above chords. And before you respond with “well just buy the unlock” I will respond with “why have you taken away these features?” Show more

    Section repeat isn’t working properly
When I want to make a section repeat a specific amount of time, it ends up updating a different section. But good overall.

????The app isn’t free. The tutorial is.
It’s like being able to take home the user manual for a new camera. Learn how to use the camera....now buy the camera. ?

    Best of the bunch

    So far, it’s good
I have the paid version. So far, I’ve been knocking out chord progressions for future melodies. I recommend and I feel you get your money’s worth.

Latency issu with iPad Air 3
I am running iPad OS 13.6.1 and while constructing chord there was noticeable latency between when I touch the chord and when the device produces a sound. I tested it on my Xs Max and there was no latency whatsoever. I restarted my iPad and still there was this annoying delay that I did not know before. Waiting for the fix soon. This is a great app for songwriters though. Show more

Great for trying out your ideas
This app is a great way to try out you ideas for harmonic progressions. It’s convenient because you can use it on your mobile device or Mac anywhere you go, on the spot. Consequently, you can record your ideas when inspiration strikes. Later, you can work them out and transfer your ideas to other tools for refinement. It’s a fabulous tool more musicians should use. The choice tool for linking your instruments to
I’m grateful development on this app is perpetual, especially lately when it comes how the overall song structure is made and kept. You not only have all the basic chord options you’d expect but options for voicing, inversions, bass note, etc. For the most part it’s straightforward with a light learning curve when it comes to building your song structure. All I can think of now as a request is for the AU preferences to stay consistently saved since I always have to change them when loading it up (no bass note, preview note length, default note length, etc) Thank you for this app! Opens up so many ideas, especially to people like me who are not piano players.

An Amazing & Essential Songwriting App
I really like Suggester; it’s proven to be an amazing app that has helped me many times when inspiration strikes and I don’t have a piano or a guitar nearby to capture the music I’m hearing in my head. It’s also a great tool to stretch your imagination by experimenting with other chords you might not be hearing in your head but would make for a better song. Having the ability to send a midi file to Finale, Notion or Logic Pro X is a terrific feature. What would make this already amazing app even better is having the ability to have multiple instruments play simultaneously instead of just the one piano or guitar and/or be able to use (mix) different instruments within the same Suggester file. The piano sounds are excellent. I highly recommend this app. I use Suggester everyday. Great work Mathieu. Show more

    So helpful!!!! Thank you!!!
I don’t know very much about music theory and this app was such a lifesaver! I used to have to spend hours at a time looking up the chords in different keys and playing them until I could find something that worked well, but with this app all I have to do is press a few buttons. What used to take me hours is now taking minutes. Thank you so much! Show more
