This is as easy as it will get to make great drum beats on your iPhone or iPad. I love this beat drum machine as it gets the beat out of my mind and on the machine painlessly and with great results! The developer is really awesome too, he is very responsive and loves feedback. I give this 5 stars, you can't go wrong with this! Updated- This developer is serious about his customers. BM just got another update and it's rock solid. Only thing I wish is for the iPhone version to have a full screen mode for the pads specially useful if you're controlling other apps with this app, which it really is solid for also! Amazing! I had to message the dev because I couldn't find the IAP option and the response was immediate and the way it allows you to try before you buy is great. great 808 and 505 samples. filter,asdr,reverb and delay are great and very usable! i cant believe this app is only 99. cents plus the drum synth iap is only a dollar.. huge bang for your buck!!! Show more

Holy Smokes! This is a big update. Global improvements, bells, and whistles.

Can you say a waste of money, crap!!! The worst drum machine, trust me, don't buy, you'll live to regret it.

This is pretty solid drum machine that offers good compatability options (AudioBus, Copy/Paste) and a nice variety of sounds. It has 10 kits right out of the box, and about 7 of them are acoustic kits that you could use for rock. It also has a reasonable file size of only 25 MB, and is very reasonably priced for that content. The only complaint I have, and the thing that holds me back from using it more, is that it seems to run slowly and take awhile to load the kits. There's also some latency when using the pads, though you could bypass this by programming a pattern. I give it 4 stars for now because the value and options really are great, but if it doesn't run well enough to get the timing right, that's a problem for rhythm-based app. Show more

Awesome sounds! But when going from closed to open hi hat, there is a strange sound when using Audiobus. (At least on the acoustic kit) please fix and thank you!

Using' audio copy '. It gives me the option to import a sample to the machine. But, where is it located? I hit 'load ' but only the internal loaded sounds are there. Help. I tried to find the site, but this was all apple have me. Thanx Show more

Still the best beat box in the App Store. This is rapidly becoming the best drum machine in the app store! The first update is already headed in the right direction. I cant wait for copy/paste. I just loaded a large chunk of my sample library into this and am having a blast! Recommended highly! Show more

Update: (This new version has not made any noticeable improvements with latency.) Good classic look and feel. Is could be lots of fun if some latency can be removed. More of a problem on an iPad 2 on iOS 6 than iPhone 4S on iOS 7, though still not super. Programming works, and the quantizing function is a nice touch. The machine seems to keep time so far. At least there are properly choking hi hats! DM-1 will apparently never have that function. Show more

Including the easy to use sample tool, I'm able to add wave files and easily create beats to fit my melodies. Effects and shuffle tools have made it easy to synchronize even very hard rhythms. Pattern tool has a copy function making it easy to expand on your current beats and progress them into full songs. Show more
