Pretty sad when you buy a Sony radio and a factor is that it has app control only to find out they don’t update the app and that it does not work with IOS11! Sony you don’t even deserve one star for this! Show more

Complete garbage if you have iPhone don’t batter save you money don’t by xav 602 bt radio don’t work with iPhone with this app or without .after waiting 3 years for upgrade still don’t work will never buy SONY again !!!!! Show more

I really like this application. Personally I would never have bought a SONY head unit; the previous owner of my truck installed it. I exclusively purchase ALPINE mobile media hardware. I found out about this application by accident and I enjoy its functionality. It is worth noting that I use iOS 9.3 because I can't stand iOS 10 or 11. Whether it is because of this or something else that I haven't had the issues other people speak of, I do not know, but if you use older iOS like I do you should have no problems. Show more

Please UPDATE, the stereo doesn’t work with the app!

Don’t update to iOS 11 if you rely on this app for your car radios. It will not work. This is a good app, if only Sony would spend the time to update it. People use this with their phones and iPads. Even their newer radios use this app. Come on Sony update this app ASAP. Updated to work with iOS 11 It works, could use some updates to fix some things. But works with iOS 11, you can finally update your iPhone or iPad. Show more

— December 2017 update: Wow. Sony actually released a version of the software that is compatible with newer iOS. I have actually purchased another stereo for my car, but haven’t slapped it in yet. Will this release change my mind? Will I give Sony a few more stars? Probably not. It really is lame that a company would take as long as they have just to allow me to properly utilize what is supposedly a high-end product. This is an app based product. Companies that build app based products really need to keep up with the current operating systems and the changing landscape. This obviously isn’t a core competency for Sony Corporation. Apple App Store: again, is there anyway I can give us less than one star? Seriously. — Update: am done with Sony forever! The head unit was expensive in comparison to others and the support received from the vendor is less than worthless. This app is no longer supported in iOS 11. Talked to Sony “support” and got nowhere. Vendor obviously does not care. Can I give it less than one star?? The quality of the radio that goes with this is actually great. The application as always left something to be desired. It's almost as if the application was an afterthought by somebody is Sony. Controls are woefully lacking, and functionality follows suit. Now, with iOS 10, I noted unexpected behaviors. The first occurs when I plug my iPhone in, and open the application (as directed for use of the head unit with the iPhone) the application moves my control from USB position to Pandora position on the head unit. I seen a few other annoyances like that and I'm really wondering if Sony will do anything? I would really like to can this application, but unfortunately I can't. The head unit will continue display open application until I satisfy the request. Show more

I was excited to see the update today as it has not been functional for nearly a year, and somewhat functional before that. However, the app now only shows the “maps” icon and nothing else, I just tried it with my stereo and nothing is there so I can’t control anything. Nice try Sony, but your still behind the ball on this. Such a large company with top products in other markets, but you can’t give your pricey mobile audio any proper attention. If your reading this before you purchase the Sony stereo, don’t depend on the app to work or Sony to support it, I have been emailing them constantly with no luck. Might look at the competition.
