This is a great little app, quick, reliable and idiot-proof. Probably the best conversion program I've used yet. Simple and drop directly from iTunes. Convert an AVI to .mov to play video clips in a powerpoint for mac presentation and now i can! This program is fantastic. Better than anything else I have tried so far, and I have tried a lot! it's fast, and accurate, so I'm nit-picking. Good, and fast; what's not to like? Show more

After having this program for 2 weeks, I went here to write this review. I wanted to convert mov files to mp4 in order to watch on my iPad, and this video converter helps a lot. So far after using this app for 2 weeks, it has done what it says. So easy you don't need instructions...or at least I didn't. Fast, efficient. No virus, no trojans, safe and easy. Also no watermark. It has a nice interface with 2 options at the top: Add and Convert, making it fairly intuitive and quick to start. I can choose or drag the file to the converting list and choose output device as Pad, very easy to operate and it converts fast. When adding the videos to the queue, it gives me many advanced control options like resizing, cropping and trimming. With the simple editing tools to trim unwanted footage. The ability to add subtitles is really a surprise to me, I just need to load my subtitle file and click to export, all works are done here. Total Video Converter has all of my everyday conversion needs covered – and more. The app shows progress status and one can rest assured that the app is functioning well. I really love Total Video Converter but the interface background is annoying when adjusting the video bitrate, CBR and VBR, not clear enough and I prefer some light background.I would love it more. I purchased it for convert music files but now they removed this function, I can’t convert flac files to Alac. Is it have anyway to take back money?

Purchased this to cover AVCHD to put onto DVD. App won’t accept my file to convert to anything. Waste of money and false advertising; should be called "Not-Total Converter”.

I like this app a lot. Once in a while, I end up with MKV files that when played lack sound. I convert these files to another format (flavors of MPEG) and the sound is restored. Tried other ways to do this with mixed results. Total Video Converter succeeds with nearly every files, including other source formats than MKV. The app is easy to use and reliable. The only issue I’ve got is conversion often takes longer than my patience quota and this is likely more to do with my Mac Mini, the OS or something I’ve missed in setting it up. If you need to convert video files this is a very good choice. Show more

I bought this app to convert audio CDs ripped to wma and convert them to m4a. While it seems to do a good enough job for this simple task, when I load the m4a files into iTunes, the files converted with this software end abruptly about about a minute for the actual end of the song. The files that end abruptly play normally in VLC, and all my other m4a’s converted with other software play normally in iTunes. My hunch is that there’s a glitch in the bulk converter part of the app, because when I convert one song at a time, they will play normally. But this “one at a time” feature is free with the “lite” version, so I just wasted $9.99. Show more

I am using this software since 2 months and I am really enjoing it. I am a Brazilian leaving in US and sometimes and I want to put subtitles in movies and convert my movies to IPAD. Total converter works very fine. I needed help 1 month ago and their support was great !! I recommend it !!! You are the best Toal Converter guys. I had 1 or 2 crashes in the last 2 months BUT …. what is the problem in try again ? Show more

It has one job and it doesn’t do it. All I want to do is convert video for the web, but that’s too much to ask- it crashes, exports files with zero bytes, looses track of settings and countless other flaws. Show more

Its mssing 4K conversation. Also the ability to convert to 3d, which is nice with newer TV. There are plenty of 4k apps.

Crashed multiple times, sometimes works, sometimes doesn’t. If you fiddle with settings, make sure you rename any export before trying another, stand on one leg holding a dead badger etc you may get it to work eventually. Show more

I’ve been using this app for a while, and at first, it was working fine. Now it suddenly crashes when I click the “convert” button, or nothing happens at all when I click convert. Show more

I just bought this. No matter what I do, every time I press “convert” it crashes. I’m sorry I purchased it.

Bought this so I could convert a trimmed mp4 to gif, and it crashes all the time. The default gif conversion settings are not good (aspect ratio is not maintained, framerate is too low), and changing them to be a higher quality will sometimes crash randomly based on the settings. Also, you cannot put in the timestamps of the start/end, and instead have to press the start and end buttons while the video is playing. That gets annoying as I’ve had to do that about 18 times to trim the SAME clip because of all the crashes. I don’t understand how an app that crashes so much can charge the amount they do. Show more
