This app is pretty straightforward and gives me access both to somewhat live mpb streaming, and previously played shows. Especially love the archived Gestalt Gardener episodes.

I listen to MPB regularly. It is my primary source of news. It's really great to stay connected when the Internet is available but a radio is not. The app's greatest feature is access to programming on demand. Show more

I use it constantly.

I can stream live or select podcasts with no problems. MPB and NPR are great sources for quality information.

I select the podcast I'd like to hear & get 5 seconds of it, app shuts down, & I'm returned to home screen. Also, the on demand list is small on the apps main screen. Show more

Great app! Please add the title of what's actually playing now though! In order to find out what's playing the only options are a) Google/website b) ask Siri or c) wait til the end of the piece to find out. The worst part about C is that there's no way to know if you have to wait 20 seconds or 20 minutes til the end of the piece. Plus, Siri doesn't know anything that's on Performance Today. None of these options are especially great while driving either. Thanks! Show more

Great app. Allows me to view shows after they have aired on tv. Also, my sister recently moved to San Antonio and now 8 can send her programs she can not get there. What a privilege to have such excellent programming and he ability to view at my leisure. Thank you! Show more

My husband walks in the morning and used his earphones to listen to MPB while walking. When I am out of town, I can listen to the news or any of the programs I like. Excellent app and addition to MPB. Show more
