I’ve been using this app on my SiExpression3 for several years. Metering was slow, sometimes my adjustments would not take on the console, when I had 2 additional users mixing their own monitors it would freeze on the oldest iPad in our group. Last year I bought a new iPad and router with mumimo support. What a difference. Metering is very smooth now. Even when I had 53 inputs over the holidays. I have 3 guys mixing their own iems on visi listen, and me using visi remote. Works great now. STILL the app lacks basics...NO MUTE GROUPS. NO ACCESS to ROUTING or other menu functions. Yes, I’ve worked on A&E dLives, SQs, QLs, Yamahas, plenty of others that have better apps. But for the price point, this works for me. If Soundcraft would open up access to the system settings and add a MUTE group feature in the app, I would give it 5stars. Show more

First off this is my first digital sound board ever, so being able to control it remotely is already amazing for me. I use it in a basic manner, control main faders and mix faders. The biggest issue I have with this app is how it freezes and disconnects to the point where the quickest fix is to uninstall the app and reinstall it... I wish that was a exaggeration but it’s not, unfortunately. How it freezes? Randomly and especcially when switching the the app to other apps like YouTube. Being that I livestream I switch from this app to YouTube and then back which for some reason freezes the app. sometimes its simple as close and open the app other times its doing what I stated earlier. Would love a simple stability improvement. Show more

I am a volunteer as the sound engineer at a small theater. We just got an si impact. I am responsible for a couple of holiday shows and then a handful of other live bands, theater performances, and talks through the year. Not a professional. I experienced the sound board locking when using the app. This is a major concern. I’ll live within the limitation of knowing I get 5-10 minutes on the stage before needing to close the app or risk having to reboot the soundboard. Hoping upgrading firmware will fix this. (Minus 1 star or more) Last night during rehearsal, I used the group mute feature on the board and then went down to the stage to help the musician balance the monitors. One of the mics stopped working. Ran upstairs to the booth to find the sound board had the channel muted but the app said it was on. Lesson learned not to trust the app output. With our previous board and remote tool, I could run the show from anywhere as the app gave me access to nearly everything. My first impression is the si impact has more features and the app seems to lack more things than the presonus versions. I may only notice the missing things in the app because I am trying to do more with the board/app. The mechanical faders help a lot when going back and forth between app and board. However, I’d like to have the app reflect the fader pages and the order I’ve set up channels. I’d like to be able to use the mute groups or cues from the app as for many theater shows that’s what I am primarily doing away from the soundboard. Lots of other wish list items. That said, I can set main and monitor levels and tweak the eq from anywhere. But I expect I will have to run shows with this board from up in the booth with the actual board and not from the floor with the iPad app which is why it only gets 3 stars from me. Show more

I can’t believe it’s been years since the app came out and still the same issue. I had to downgrade to an X32. I started to loose customers because of that app. Fix the danm app. I love this board Show more

Sometimes the metering simply goes to all full levels, but at the other times all control is lost until the board is restarted. I can’t believe soundcraft has not implemented a fix for this app Show more

Works pretty good until about 15 minutes in, then the meters stop working. Fader controls and a few other things keep working. I thought it was me making a mistake with the setup but after reading the reviews I realized I’m not the only one who has this problem. Bug fix, Soundcraft please? This is serious setback for a board that otherwise works well for me. Hope it gets fixed so I don’t having to consider swapping it out for another brand. Show more

Harman where is the update?!? The app is still freezing without warning. App worked for about 10 minutes then froze during sound check and lasted throughout the two hour show yesterday. Show more

Nice but does not work with iOS 11.3. The VU meters work and it showed the level but you cannot control anything.

I work as a monitor engineer. I use this app with a Vi 1. I can manipulate faders and see it translate onto the console however adding gain, changing eq, dynamics, gates, hi or lo pass filters are not reflected. I have enabled hiQnet on my router following each step in the setup guide. I’ve updated the console and stage box, but still nothing has changed. This makes using the app virtually useless. Do yourself a favor and just mix the old fashioned way. Avoid the frustration. Show more

I love this app in general! UI and features are great! I have two complaints: 1) Even after buying a recommended and compatible router, the meters on the app freeze after about 10 minutes of use. 2) Now that the app supports 64 channels, I have to scroll ALL the way to the end of the channels to get to the FX faders. Currently our setup only uses 32 channels. It would be nice to be able to “deselect” unused channels so they don’t show up in the Inputs section. Show more

App locks up when used with the Si Impact. Only solution is to restart the board. Please fix the bug!

I have experienced the meters freeze using this app and the Si Impact 2.0 software. Restarting the app, toggling WiFi and restarting the iPad are of no avail; so I have to consider that the problem is with the Si Impact firmware update. I do know that it uses UDP for this connection, but I have not had time to diagnose what is happening. The meters costs 1/2 star. The other thing is that the virtual faders are displayed as per their channel IDs. If you're like me, you move and reassign faders to optimize your workspace. Problem is, that's not reflected in the app. That's costs a 1/2 star. The final thing is no RTA. I realize this is not an advertised feature, but it would be extremely useful. That costs 1 star. Ever since updating to si impact firmware 2.0 our venue has experienced freezes with the meters on a very consistent basis as well as occasional connection losses to the board. This makes the remote unusable in a live sound situation. Very disappointing that this hasn't been immediately fixed. Two different replies from soundcraft themselves one stating they were well aware of the glitch and the second denying there was any issues, then admitting it after email exchanges. Additionally, mute group access is a must with a remote app where you are working a good distance from the stage during set up and use mutes to keep iPod music going while dialing in mixes on stage. Also at least tap tempo for delay fx would be smart. And mainly where is the RTA? Almost every other mixer app has one. Why a $500 board and app and not a $2500? Soundcraft ... listen to your users... we buy and use your products not your in house engineers and programmers! Show more

Normally I'm not a reviewer, nor do I complain much, but this app and the SI series in general is such complete garbage that I honestly felt compelled to let everyone know. Buy a CL, QL, M32, or if you're stuck in the SI budget, buy an X32. Sorry Soundcraft.. Over the course of 27 years in the business, I've given you tens of thousands of dollars, so I'm a big supporter. Sad to say that those days are over. Show more

Great Board cool app but unfortunately you lose FX features with this app

I love the application! Our church uses it to allow fine tuning of the system in the room! The only things I would love to see are the ability to have a custom fader layer and the most important one would be being able to access the Cuelist! Show more

The app is great! I love using and it and makes my job easier. Carrying this anywhere I want and adjust is awesome. Some things they don't have are the Cue List available in the app or the effects. That should be added. Thanks! Show more

I love the app and it offers complete control except for cues. I wish it would enable cue recording and recalling. Sometimes I'm tweaking a level or unmuting a mic while I'm not at the board. I have to run back to the board to hit two buttons. It seems like it would be easy to integrate into the app. I'm using the SI Impact in a church setting and sometimes I am setting up a mic or plugging in an instrument to our digital snake. I can turn the channel on and set a level from the sanctuary, but I can't recall the cue that already has it setup. I wish Soundcraft would add that feature! Show more
