I've used GuitarTuna for about a year. Let me tell you the one good thing it does. You tap on the string you want to tune (in the app), and tune your guitar until the little icon on the pitch graph has a checkmark. It then makes a "brrring!" sound. You do this for every string until you are done. Yay, now you're guitar is tuned, right? Problem #1: the tuner keeps going "brring!" even if you tune it past the right pitch. This makes precise tuning VERY very annoying. Because it'll keep going "brring!" over and over and over again until you want to scream. Problem #2: The auto feature. It brings me feelings of rage and excruciating frustration. It's supposed to make it to where you don't have to select the string that you are tuning. It's pointless, and doesn't do its job correctly. It will switch the note that you're tuning to if the app thinks you're done tuning that string. Well usually you aren't, and you end up fighting the app over what string you're tuning. Meanwhile, "brring!" "brrring!" "BRRRRING!" Problem #3: Alternate tunings. You wanna tune your guitar to D standard? Open G? TOO BAD. Because GuitarTuna wants you to pay an exorbitant amount of money for you to tune your guitar to anything other than standard tuning. I'd maybe pay 3 dollars to permanently have this feature. It literally wants you to pay a monthly subscription. I know there a couple ways to cheese it with a capo. But it's not worth the effort. If you have guitar tuna, do yourself a favor and uninstall it. There are many better options out there. Different apps. An actual tuning device. Even learning to tune by ear will make you happier than if you used this app. Show more

Just thought you should know how terrible this was to discover that my favorite free to use tuning app was charging a subscription for a basic service. Not only is it a terrible idea, I believe your customers will absolutely agree as well. Unless you catch a simpleton with money to burn would you find anyone remotely interested in your subscription. JUST WATCH. Not worth the money! A RIP OFF! I will go buy two brand new tuners out the box tomorrow and will have deleted your app forever. Show more

Unsure why this app suddenly just stopped working . I thought it might be my fault as I haven’t used it in months, so I deleted and reinstalled which then gave me ads and tried to get me to sign up for $40. I declined and now it’s just a black screen. Really scummy and misleading to say this is free. Show more

Opened my app today to find that I no longer have access. Ive used this app for years with the unlocked options I purchased “one time” for something like 30 or 40 bucks. Now its an annual fee of 39$!? I loved this app. Its a fantastic tool. But even with all the bells and whistles its just not worth another purchase. Goodbye guitar tuna… I will miss you. Show more
