    No longer working
It worked great up until the new iOS update.

It’s exactly what it needs to be but...
I love the ability to see my data on my favorite songs and the UI is easy to use and it’s simple. My only problem is that it only works with Apple Music, and I think this app could grow a lot more if it had both Spotify and Apple Music compatibility. But other than that one thing the app is great keep up the work! Show more

    Broken since iOS 14
    Won’t load any data

    Not completely accurate
I like the info it provides, but the play counter isn’t accurate. There are songs I’ve listened to everyday for like three years and it says average 100 plays. Not sure why that is? Show more

Doesn’t show correct song listen amount
Looked through my songs that should have at least 100 listens due to having them for years and listening to them daily and it says 4 listens. The app needs to be fixed and updated. Show more

    Love the app!
I use it everyday. It’s kind of bare bones in the fact that it only shows the current song playing, but it’s fine. I honestly just wish the app developer could update the icon to look more..current lol. To go with the minimalistic style in 2019. Kinda stands out from the rest of my apps. Show more

    Glad it’s free
Doesn’t rank songs and the play counts are inaccurate.

    Very Accurate
What would make this app even better, is if you could create an account and save your Song Data

Finally, visible play count while mobile!
My original review: I've long used play count in iTunes on Mac and Windows laptops and desktops to track what I listen to most and compare how quickly new music bubbles to the top and what artists and songs reliably stay at the top of my choices to play. Since buying an iPhone last year, it has been greatly freeing to no longer be tethered to my computer while listening but it has been frustrating to lose visibility to how many times I've played songs, other than through relative comparisons in play count-based playlists. Finally, the SongData app restores that visibility! I'm guessing that this app hooks into data in memory for the current song being played and that's why it only shows the current song being played and not a list of songs in the library and their play counts, but that is a vast improvement over no visibility. Accepting that limitation, this app is more than sufficient and does what it does perfectly. Update 2018-09-04: Thankfully, the iOS Music app has restored the ability to see (and set!) star ratings. I still use this app occasionally to see the last time I played a song and the play count. It is solid and does what it does very well, and the feature to show album art at screen width is a nice perk. Show more

    Can’t use
Literally was able to pick one song and now can’t move on or back to library - even after closing.

    4.0 Update
The new update definitely has a better look to it. I know that this suggestion may be quite a stretch and it’s just an idea, but it would be very interesting to add the feature of when a song was first played. I’m not sure if it’s even able to track that data, but if it’s possible, that would be a great feature to incorporate. Overall, this app is super awesome for keeping track of music! Show more

One of the things Apple forgot
This little gem is really useful in letting you see the song metadata in the iPhone itself. I’m so glad the author continues to update

    Yeah
Awesome, finally I don’t need to check my PC to check how many times I have listened to a song, and interesting info as well

Wow this is perfect for my OCD self
I always like keeping track of songs' play count just for tracking purposes to see which music or albums I really like and recently to help me delete music that I downloaded but don't really listen to and this app allows me to do it on the go which is awesome! Also, it's nice to know that now there's a reason for me to finish a song before I turn off my car when I arrive to my destination. when I listen to a song I like to play the whole song through and don't like cutting it off halfway or before it's even done and this app gives me even more reason to finish the song because it counts the play lol Show more

    Useful
    Useful app for showing metadata

    Doesn't work with ICloud/Apple music
If you have iCloud songs or use Apple Music subscription, steer clear. It told me that a song (that I play every day) hadn't been played since 2011.... lol.

    It's Perfect
It's simple and does exactly what it is intended to do. I only wish I could look at song data while they're not playing.
  • Bradcccxiii, 17.03.2017
    Good
Performs as advertised. Wish there was a way to see songs ranked by play count though, I'd love to know my most played

    Fun app
Nothing life changing but cool nonetheless. Love seeing certain songs each the thousands in play count.
