    Uke user…..
I’ve used this program for almost two years now and i love it. I play ukulele with strum-groups and use the program to collect, change keys and edit music for the group. My only wish is that there was a bit more flexibility in the layout of the music to share. I usually take the finished music to another program that allows more flexible design of music lyrics and chords. It is though, the best i’ve found to create, edit and collect music. Thanks much……. Really good, but a little bit buggy
I really wanted to like this app, but it’s a little buggy on my current OS (High Sierra 10.12.6). Not enough to make me regret spending 17.99 for the app + 10.99 for the ios version, but enough to think the developers are either lazy, or slightly incompetent. I purchased the Mac OS and iOS versions with high hopes. So far, it’s what I wanted, but weird stuff occasionally happens with the display of the songs. Sometimes the songs don’t show all the chords or lyrics, unless I load a different song, then go back. There are other bugs, but I don’t have the time to document them. I’D RATHER BE PLAYING MUSIC! I haven’t spent much time trying to identify the exact conditions that cause problems, but if the developers want to dig deeper, contact me and I’ll be happy to run some tests. Otherwise, I’m 70% satisfied with the app. My total spend of 17.99 + $10.99 = $29.00 US leaves me disappointed and hoping these issues are fixed in a future update. Come on, LinkeSOFT… you can do it! My favorite app to keep my music organized
I really like the text chordpro format because it is precise and still readable as text. Wrap that into an easy to use cross platform app that displays everything beautifully… nugh said… or if you prefer here’s more. On great feature is you can pick any directory for the song library, which can then be synced to the cloud with your favorite sync utility. So far all files work between OSX and Android… including the chord library. This makes it easy to keep all my devices synced with my music that I edit on my macbook…but also any changes made on mobile seem to work on the OSX app too. Sweet! My pros: - Simple UI, that doesn’t try to do more then it should - Chord editor is simple and works well for adding new chords - Can display PDFs and chordpro - Supports multipl instrements for chord bar - supports printing - multi platform - secondary song view for group singing - data files on the back end are mostly text… chord library .cho files etc. - Transpose is awesome though not unique to songbook My cons: - Play together doesn’t seem to work with android? - Play together would be nice to just be able to display songs temporarily to other devices that have songbook without them needing the songs, like a cast to songbook feature Show more

Stable, reliable, always works as it should
I keep going back and forth, using this and Onsong. Songbook doesn’t have a lot of the features of Onsong but, Songbook always works unlike Onsong. I really needed a way to easily sync songs with my bandmate and be assured my songs are there and haven’t been wiped out. Onsong has great features and capablities but, with every IOS upgrade I’m having to redo my Onsong music list. Songbook is great to use on the Macbook for editing then sync to iPad. I’m looking forward to being able to sync my itunes backtracks to my Songbook pages. Show more

    Songbook is indispensable
This amazing app does everything. I can create lyric sheets with custom placement of chords; set the pace for the song along with pauses for intro/outro/solo; for print the sheets out along with chord diagrams; transpose keys on the fly; create set lists for gigs. I use it on my iPad and have had no glitches. It may take a bit of time to get used to the coding used for creating a song sheet, but the structure is very straightforward once you get the hang of it. I have one criticism, which is that if I need to make changes within the app on the fly (time, lyrics, etc.) and save them during the session, the changes won’t be there next time - I’ll need to add the changes on my laptop and then upload to Songbook via iTunes. I’m used to it now, but maybe someone has a workaround. The good thing is that for that session at least you can play with the changes. Show more

    Great App, But...
Overall, I love this app and use it all the time. I love knowing that as soon as I save a song to my DropBox, it's available on both my phone and iPad and vice-versa. Show more

    Great!
Have been using this for years and is very useful and convenient. I'm using it on my phone, ipad and macbook. Generally just feel like the mac version could look nicer, and sometimes what I've written in the mac app is not seen on my other devices, not sure why =( Show more

Great app - keeps getting better
I play in a couple of bands and have used this app for about 4 years now. Its great. The developers keep improving it and are responsive to questions and suggestions. This app has replaced lots of 3 ring binders - love it. I have over 6000 songs in my library and it keeps growing because it is so fast and easy to add a song once and have it forever - and easily transpose it (tap, tap, tap) for any singer’s preference. Having the ability to quickly pull up a song and share a file (with another SongBook user) or a PDF (with a non-user) is great. My library is synced to DropBox so I can access it from my phone, iPad, or Mac. The app is stable and has a wide variety of formatting and usage features. Show more
