Audiobus support is gr8, thank you. However, there are times when I simply need to have a løøp playing while jamming on a synth or organ app...for this, Audiobus is overkill and uses more RAM and CPU unnecessarily. Unfortunately, since Drum loops HD lacks Background Audio functionality, I am forced to run Audiobus for such a rudimentary and elementary task. Also, there are some fellow iPad musicians I know who have no need for Audiobus (and/or have no desire to plunk down the eXtra ca$h for it). Because Drum Løøps HD has no Background Audio capability, these folks are basically penalized as a result. Please reconsider your decision to delay (if not exclude outright) the implementation of Background Audio functionality in an otherwise fabulous, Five-Star-worthy app. Thank you! Show more

Groove! The 6/8 half time feel is worth the cost alone. Simple layout, complete with many variations and tempos. Cymbal swells, single hits, great sound. The only app I've come across with live drum loops of QUALITY. I'm looking forward to more loops. Show more

The best drum loop app I could find. No joke. The app isn't pretty, but the loops are fantastic, and perfectly recorded in a studio with real drummer.

Good sound but why the tempo cannot be changed? Hope they fix it....

Thought I could link samples together simply.Not!Have go to another app and record the loops in bits & pieces.Yuck.Tones are good,that's about it.

Love this app, though I'm still working with it on a few tracks I created with it in daw multitrack. I just wish it had a few more tempos, a few more variations of drum beats within the tempos, also I don't see any kind of blues, bluegrass or country type beats which is disappointing for those of us who like to write in many different styles. Drums sound great though, can't wait to mix them to get a real idea of how they'll sound in the completed mix. Please add some more updates of beats! I see other reviewers are asking for similar things, It'll get 5 stars for me then too :) Show more

Excellent concept. Works fine with Auria. Would like to see more beats though. Some sort of tempo setting would be nice also. Four stars until these hopefully turn up in future updates. Show more

The loops sound good, but after I paste the first loop into Auria, the Drum Loops HD app no longer produces sound until I kill Auria. May work with other apps, but I don't recommend if you are using Auria unless you can memorize the 700 loops and don't need to hear them before selecting and pasting. I really hope this issue is resolved soon! Show more

I love the concept of the copy to paste board. It works flawlessly with garageband. I only wish there was more patterns for the money. It is a lot like ezdrummer but just lacking the quantity and selection. For this price I wish I would have kept using garageband drums. Three out of four of the rock beats are just the "boom boom pop" one of the cheesest rock beats ever. IMO I think they need to put a tempo adjustment in the app and that would give a bit more room for variety by eliminating the need for each beat to be repeated with a different tempo. Maybe in conjunction with another program such as audiobus this app could regulate the tempo using garageband's tempo. Hopefully future updates will improve on these issues. Show more

I love this app it's got great sound great feel! If would add more beats it would be even better...! I will audio copy and then audio paste into StudioHD (for the iPad) or StudioM (For the iPhone) to the "exact BPM" that I want, and then Audio Paste it into the recording APP that I'm recording in. That way I get REAL drums in my songs. Also, come to think about it, it would be nice if the fills would be "locked into" an ACID type loop "grid" so that would likewise be able to be tempo altered. As they are, they are pretty useless if you are Audio Pasting them so as to speed them up or slow them down. G Show more

like the sounds a lot, only problem which is a Bigg problem is I always have to reset my ipad 2 64 gig latest update.to hear any sounds,I can tap in the samples and I get no sounds at all. .this is the only app I have that behaves like this. Please Fixxx. Show more

Needs more hard rock and tempos, other than that, you guys RULE! Will 5 star it when expanded!!!

I love this app!!! Great to jam out to... Me as a bass player, I like to practice with drums rather then a click! And this is the best way to do it... But, I wish they would add maybe like a cut time, or half time, drum beats... Would be nice. Other than that.. It's an amazing app!!! Has helped a lot!!! Show more

Any chance of Implementing Audiobus? I like this app but frankly, it's been collecting dust since it doesn't play well with other apps - cut/paste is a pain. Audiobus would breathe new life into this app. Show more

I give this five stars because its got some great beats and this is exactly the way a drum machine should be in the year 2013: real recordings of real drums with a real pro drummer playing them. But I have some complaints: 1) NO BACKGROUND AUDIO - I bought the app so that I could start a loop and leave it running while I jam with other ipad apps like iFretless Bass. But as soon as I close this app, the drums stop playing. To the dev: all you need to do is change the audio session type and this app would be a thing of unbelievable iPad jamming power. 2) each loop has its own stop button and when you want to play a new loop, you have to find the one that is currently playing and stop it before you can play a new one. Instead, when I press the button to start a new loop it should automatically stop the old loop and start the new one. Show more

Using this app as a writing tool with my church. It's very useful. I would love to see more real time interaction between fills and loops.
