Couldn’t get it to make any sound at all on iPhone 12 Pro

I have been dabbling with some sound experimentation on various media. One of the functions is sustaining a steady tone to measure heat out put. This app makes setting that up very quick and painless (by painless I mean I use my watch to control the volume at a distance) Anywho, almost rated 4 stars due to toggling the dials get cumbersome when manually sweeping. I was messing around in my trucks audio and would slowly increase output but found myself having to reset my finger on the dial. Maybe sliders instead of dials? Otherwise perfect for any application where noise, tones, or sweeps are needed to adjust voltage, gains, or other audio needs. Show more

I was looking for a simple tone generator. Seems like it should be easy enough to make, find, and use. After looking at many, both web and app, and testing maybe two dozen, this Signal Gen is the only one worth keeping and meets my requirements even in the free version. Show more

Downloaded this forever ago & I’ve used it to set gain clip on my amps in a few different cars since most everything I listen to is streamed thru my phone. I’m sure theres people that use it to a much further extent than I do but it’s always done what I need and very simple to use Show more

This app is perfect and with the latest update you get an on off switch. Unfortunately you loose the beautiful polished steel look to a Joni Ives like shadow of what it used to look like. Apple leads the way to second grade comical graphics but it still functions perfectly. Show more

The dB setting in the amp is wrong. 0dB is actually -6dB. Look up a normal 0dB 50hz test tone on YouTube then compare it to the app. Or connect your phone to a computer and test it (capture the sound with Adobe Audition) Show more

Worst ever used it and after words phone shut off could not turn on iPhone 6splus for 30 minutes afterwards finally got it to turn on. My fingerprint functions will not work anymore. No solutions to fix this and could not accomplish the original protect that I was originally trying to do In the first place. Show more

Great teaching aid with the kids, benchmark and generator when working with electronics, and helps tune the ear to hear differences between wave shapes. Can select stereo or left/right speaker output, auto repeating sweep through tones, easily dial and tune, or precisely navigate tones by hertz, semitones (very helpful), and cents. Well made app! I bought the pro version in the app and it doesn’t reproduce any noise at any frequency through my phone speakers or any peripheral ( Bluetooth speaker, Beats, wired speaker, and various other speaker devices). This app doesn’t work period. Please fix or give me a refund. Show more

Love this app. The easy tog wheel for tones and sweeps is great. I do suggest and would love to see a bit more for pink noise generation. Correlated vs Uncorrelated for example and if it had 1/3 octave or possibly frequency limited pink noise generation it would be outstanding! Especially for Acoustics tuning in stereo domain with a DSP. I’ve also heard other pink noise generators or wav or flac files that seem to have more output at 0db so don’t know if the PN Generator is 0db at full tilt on the dial. So a suggestion to please consider. Show more

I've had this app for several years now. I used to love it, I even loved it so much that I payed to remove the adds. Jokes on me then! An update several months ago let adds into the app. Thank you developer person for peeing on a happy customer. I would have given this app a 5 because it's very good and easy to use, but the reintroduction of adds after I payed to remove them is deplorable at best. Show more

you found it - the most usable tone generator in iOS land. not perfect, but darned good. (I use this with an iPad mini)

My need is to be able to find pitches that are feeding back in live stage monitors. For that purpose this is a great tool! Since that's all I need, I'll probably be using this for a long time. It gives you the precise frequency that you're listening to numerically which works great with the modern digital mixing consoles. I can basically tell the engineer exactly what frequency to go to cut using this tool. Show more

Just what I needed, and it spans the entire range of human hearing. Very useful tool! Great for testing audio equipment, or just playing around with loud speakers
