I needed a waveform generator to help with frequency response testing, and this app does the job perfectly. After trying out the sine wave functionality, I purchased the rest of the features - I especially needed & like the noise generation (three types) and frequency sweep modes. For what this does, it beats using a bench top generator - on both price and portability. The additional features such as L/R channel select, semi-tone/cents/Hz increments, log/linear sweep, etc. make this even more useful. Show more

This app got me out of a pinch. Our dbx DriveRack 260 was having trouble trying to auto EQ our room that has numerous modes at various frequencies and at various locations in the room. The end result of the DriveRack's auto EQ looked like a yagi antenna and made everything sound like it was in a box. I used Signal Generator to generate white noise and dialed into the DriveRacks RTA/EQ to manually make changes to the EQ till I got the desired response curve on the RTA. I bought all the Add-on's to help support the cause and because they are fun to play with. The UI is very functional, but could go from great to amazing with a little polish. Regardless I have to give this app 5 stars! Keep up the good work guys! Show more

Turned it on at 12K and -12db. My wife was in another room upstairs and yelled down to me that it was annoying. She could still hear it at 16K. I guess I shouldn't whisper in her presence. Downloaded all the options. This will get a lot of use. Show more

If i had to buy all this test gear separately it would cost a grand. I use this for rough EQ and it totally works. Highly recommended

I started with the free tone generator and realized that this app was awesome when it came to analyzing audio amplifiers. I used a Tektronix scope and found that this generator is cleaner and more accurate than the lab unit that I have at work. Since then, I have purchased all of the additional generators offered within the app, and let me just say that they all rival or exceed the pro commercial ones that my sound lab has purchased for equipment evaluations not to mention what each unit cost when originally purchased. Outputs a clean sine wave with practically infinitely variable frequency from 20 Hz to 20 KHz. Easy to use and hit specific frequencies since the dial is split into 5 sections. I used this today to find a rattle in my car. I have a small sub and was getting a rattle at certain frequencies. I was able to find the frequency within a minute, and subsequently the rattle as well. Show more

Downloaded and used free version for a few minutes with no problems in conjunction with Room EQ Wizard on my laptop. I loaded the frequency sweep add on and app crashes 100 of the time. Really disappointed since it's a paid app. Otherwise, it appeared to be the tool I need to calibrate my home theater gear. Please fix so I can get back to business. Show more

I have only good things to say about this app. It was remarkably revealing to check out the frequency response of several different earbuds I own. Wow.

Neat little app. Got it for no real reason, but it has made me realize that one of my ears is not as sensitive as the other at particular frequencies. I get a left-right shift as the freq. sweeps. Thanks for the add-ons. Show more

I've used test equipment that is not as good as this app. Easy to use and very low distortion output on iPhone 5 - 6.

Needed a signal/ tone generator for my daughters science experiment. This works as one would expect and provides amble ranges. I'm no audio expert, as to the quality of output and ease of control is not an area I feel any comfort commenting on. Show more
