Great to be able to get out of the car and keep listening.

The app cuts out randomly and every time you restart you have to listen to the intro ad. So annoying!

Whatever you did to change the app. It is awful. I can’t even get just plain WXXI News anymore. I am stopping my contribution to this public radio station because I can’t listen to programming anymore. Show more

The new version is more complicated but not more useful. Once again, if the stream drops the app is frozen. To resume the stream, you need to shut down the app and restart it. Then you get to hear the 30 second opening advert again. Show more

I started using your app years ago and it was a good app but with all the updates over the years it’s become a great app that I use daily!

The app recently went through a complete overhaul and the visuals are vastly improved. It seems to work well and consistently delivers live streaming content similar to the radio broadcasts. App is good, WXXI and NPR are world class organizations. Show more

I'm still not sure how to start streaming on this rev of the app. I can dial it up but the sequence isn't obvious, so I have to figure it out every time. Look, we don't need more features. Too many apps have too much crammed in and are complicated to use. I get tired of figuring out how these things work, because they're all different and most of them aren't intuitive. They jump all over rather than simply implementing a few key use cases. I wish that the software trade would just stop it! Show more

Love this!! I listen to WXXI on the app every day. I like the colorful new interface, and that I can see playlists and much more. Like that the intro ad is dropped, and streaming has improved—doesn’t drop. Show more

I listen to WXXI via the app several times throughout the day. The latest update improved the experience significantly. Getting rid of the intro ad is helpful, and I’ve appreciate that I can pause listening and pick up a few minutes later. That feature still confuses me, but it’s nice. Show more

App has improved in the latest update, dropping the intro ad you had to listen to and being a bit more consistent about staying on. Still some interaction issues with turning on and off from lock screen and using earbuds button keep it from 5 stars. Show more

I am a long-time contributor yet cannot find a reliable digital stream. All my apple devices have NO problem with other audio and video streaming apps. Yet this app spontaneously halts playback at random times, requiring me to suffer listening repeatedly to the intro ad. It also halts both when leaving and returning WIFI. Show more

Recently the promos inserted when the app opens stopped for a few days and I thought "great!" Due to the number of issues with the app hanging requiring a restart it's very annoying to have to wait for the promo to finish when you're trying to get back to the story you were listening to, which is usually over by the time the promo is over. There are promos throughout the broadcast so these are not necessary. Show more

Every time the app is started there is a commercial. Very annoying! If I get a phone call and the app is halted, for instance, the commercial plays again! I don't want to listen to commercials 20 times a day, so will have to delete this app. Show more

The app doesn't work well for me at all. The stream just randomly stops and won't start again. My NPR news app streams WXXI just fine though, with no interruptions.

This app is wonderful!!! I am so happy I can now listen to wxxi everywhere I go! I can't count how many times I have just stayed in my parked car in the driveway because I was so into the conversation on wxxi. It has become a part of my lunch routine. Super easy to use and great sound quality! Couldn't ask for anything better! Thanks!!! Show more
