Daughter does competitive dance and competitive cheer. Before rehearsing to the music, rehearsing choreography for precision is typically done by voice count alone. This app has helped me a lot with timing on the piano, however it has way too many adds. If somebody made a version of this without adds, I would totally use it. Also, the voices don’t sound realistic. Show more

This is my favorite metronome app for practicing. I use about 2 hours per day and it always works flawlessly, less one quirky thing.The visual timing part of the app flashes the numbers in white and then turns to orange. Neither the white timing display nor the orange display is actually on the beat that the voice speaks. The 5 star rating drops to a 4 star rating is only because of the visual timing quirk. I enjoy using this app. Only wish would be for it to work in landscape mode on my ipad.

I’ve tried multiple app-based metronomes and this is by far the best one. It’s so much easier to hear someone counting since this is what you do when playing music - you count. You don’t (usually) think or say a weird tone as you play! This app counts the beats and unlike other similar apps, it speaks in a normal human voice (and there are multiple different options for the type of voice) and not a creepy robot voice. It can also count in various subdivisions which is really unique and helpful. The free version works perfectly but it’s well worth $1.99 to remove the ads. My one request would be that the app work in landscape mode since I have to keep my iPad plugged in while playing so landscape mode is much more convenient. As good as a metronome could get, this one is pretty close. I love how you can have the counts spoken, or just ticked. You can have several voices and time signatures for free. Very nice to have on hand for all musicians. Show more

Love this counting metronome app. I play it through a blue-tooth speaker while practicing piano. It really helps. My only request would be to set a flash setting to make the screen flash on counts that you chose . For example - flash the screen on a count of one. Show more

I’m still fairly new to counting and playing my violin at the same time and I have found the voice count to be more helpful than the typical clicking sound.

This metronome is different since it specifically counts 1 and a, 2 and a, etc. This takes away the confusion as to whether a nameless BEEP, is the 1, or is it the a, or was that the 2 and??Yes, I finally understand counting after years of misery. No small accomplishment. Thanks! Show more
