    Simply GRAND!
Wow! Wow! Wow! I own 4 professional keyboards from Roland to Yamaha and my Yamaha is loaded with a dedicated "Pianos" sound card. They come nowhere near the realism of the pianos in this app! The individual sampling of each of the 88 keys truly does bring out the character of the true piano sound like I've never heard before! (...and I've been a piano salesman). I love this app and plan to use it from now on on ALL my piano tracks. Just listen to the demos through headphones and you'll hear what has been missing from the digital piano sound up until now. Beautiful recreations of magnificent pianos...I love this! Show more

Well worth making room if you want the best
I gladly deleted all other piano apps to keep space for this one. If you seek the most expressive and realistic piano experience on iPad, look no further. Requires a MIDI interface and the higher quality of your controller keyboard, the more one can appreciate the wondrous programming. The graphics may be a tad cartoon-like, but the sound...OH, the incredible sound! Takes up a huge amount of memory, but the sound...did I mention the fantastic sound and playability? Show more

    The best so far!
I have iGrand and the key response from the CMP grand is far more superior. The new grand piano and upright are gorgeous and I hope for more in the future. It would be nice for some sort of implementation of string resonance and mechanical noises like what the Neo-Soul Keys did with their Rhodes emulations. Keep improving and updating this product please! Show more

    Best Professional Steinway Piano App!!!
This is the best Steinway Piano app I've ever used on the ipad! You can really feel the different layers of the sampling, as well as the depth of the sampled notes. I've tried igrand, and it has a much thinner sound quality, and the polyphony isn't nearly as good. The only reasons I don't give this app 5 stars is that the jazz piano sample needs to have the release sample edited just a little bit shorter, it's a little bouncy when playing fast. And also there is this glitch when you change sounds with the sustain pedal held down, it closes the app? Lastly, no audiobus, audiobus would be great? Please fix the minor issues! Overall though, definitely worth no less than 4 stars for the immaculate job with the Steinway sample, and worth the buy!!! Show more

Great sounding app, but needs background audio toggle
I intend to use this for performance. But the way it's set up, if I want to switch to another app for another set if performance sounds, I have to double tap home and kill this app in order to cut its background audio. They need a toggle for background audio in settings just like every other sound synth/module app has. And yeah... AudioBus support please! Show more

    I Love it. BUT..
It (we) need Audiobus support. Trying to ignore Audiobus is like app writers trying to be relevant while acting as if Apple products don't exist. Jack, is unfortunately, not receiving developer support. So please don't persist in being stubborn. Why not support Audiobus as well as Jack. That could help you cut some of the competition off at the pass. I purchased your product first, but subsequently bought the competitor's app (in spite of the ads, grrhh!) because Jack is basically an orphan. IMPORTANT - I would like to set a reverb that would remain until I change it, that would become my default piano setting. When the app opens it would be there. Is this already possible? Did I overlook something? I really like this app. Nothing in music is more important, more inspirational to me than great acoustic piano sounds. U are very close. Keep up the good work. Show more

    Very detailed sound
I really don't understand what this guy that says "don't waste your money...it doesn't work as they say" means. I have been a producer and audio engineer for over 20 years and it seems to me that this is a fine piano app. I actually found it to sound surprisingly good, very rich and well detailed. I also own IK Multimedia's IGRAND which cost $19.99 and seems to not sound nearly as realistic nor does it have the dynamics of this instrument. So far I am very satisfied with this app and at this point I feel comfortable recommending it to anyone who wants to have a professional quality piano app in their IOS rig. Show more

The best piano app for iOS
CMP grand piano is an absolute essential for anyone cares about high quality music production. CMP is light years beyond the quality of sampletank (for example). CMP is a large app, and the sample quality of CMP is proportionally worth the space it occupies. You should know that the app size is 1.6gb, so for me (not that I really needed to but) I deleted all other piano specific apps from my iPhone. But I cannot imagine removing CMP from any of my iDevices. CMP and midi wrench running in JACK paired with most other midi sequencers/apps I have worked with works perfectly on my iPads. I would absolutely buy additional high quality piano libraries from crudebyte. Show more

    Not on Ipod 4th Generation
I Wish this worked. For the brief moments it did, it was great. Much better than the GarageBand piano, (which is Ok for all they give us for 5$) But this was better. As good if not better than iGrand which I avoided after reading about the add issues. Their demo was also nice sounding though. This seemed better, but crashed every time I'd try to use the "grandpiano" and not the "jazz piano" which is too bright. So NOT good on iPod 4th Gen I have an email in to them for fix or refund. I'll keep you all posted. $9 is a lot to lose. I posted this once but I didn't see it? Anyway, they emailed me back WITHIN 5 MINUTES!!!! there is an update to address this issue coming VERY soon. This piano is really amazing. I hope this fixes it. I wanna rep for these guys!!! SUPER potential in this. The above is still true for the 1.4.5. update. Nothing is any better on ipod 4th gen. My guess is the crash is from the reverb being tied in to the start up and not on a send. It's taxing things too much. ***Free stuff for me when i'm right?? Show more

Best sounding CoreMIDI app in the app store
I've tried most of the CoreMIDI piano apps in the app store and this one is by far the best I've found. The sampling is wonderful and the control over the tone/reverb/response is awesome once you get the hang of it. It booted right up and immediately worked with my external controller, which hasn't been the case with all of the other apps. Very happy. Show more
