    Didn’t Work For Me
I could get it to connect to rtpMIDI but the app wouldn’t work. No go.

Thank you for bringing back Edit/CC Properties
Dock a star because my previous saved layout was killed in an update.

    Does not work
Looks nice but alas won't connect via Network MIDI. I use Network MIDI with other IOS apps, which work fine. MIDI toolbox shows data going from my iPad to my iMac, using the same session. Yet this app does not connect via network MIDI. Had the developer added some simple diagnostics or the ability to see what MIDI connection is being attempted, one could troubleshoot. But nothing -- just does not work. Thankfully not and expensive app. If you want to waste $3, give it a try. Wish I had not wasted the money or time. Show more

    Disappointing
I was hoping this would be able to replace the “Daw Control” apps that no longer function in iOS. Not the case so far.

    IPad Pro
It's messed up for the iPad Pro Distorted GUI Out of place faders and knobs etc The surface suffers from sticky mute and solo buttons That have this gimmicky illumination. That's not even bright enough. Very dull. The manual lacks info on what daws are supported and what's offered to control. So you spend hours trying to find out how to access plugins and control them. Waste of time, if you're using Reaper
It claims to work with Reaper, but I have spent hours on several different occasions trying to get it to work. Maybe it works well with Ableton, Logic, and Cubase. But it shouldn't claim to be compatible with Reaper when it's not. I feel cheated. Wasted my money and time. There are many other DAW controller apps on the market. Don't waste your time on this app just because it's cheap. Show more

    Very nice
The layout is one of The best I've seen. I like the transport controls in the lower right so that when I'm standing in front of a microphone in my recording room I can use my right hand to control the transport without blocking the rest of the screen… Something that I cannot do with Logic Remote. Set up is easy and is very well described in the manual and was not daunting at all. It just works. What I miss in this control surface is the ability to navigate by markers in Logic Pro. I know there's very little screen real estate left, but that would be a wish of mine. I would love to be able to use the fast forward and rewind buttons to advance or go back by marker. Show more

    Works intermittently
So far I've had the app 2 days and it keeps disconnecting, I'm sitting next to my router.

    it all works!
I froze my "music iMac" at 10.75 running Digital Performer 7.24 as this combination was so stable that I decided it was time to work with it without further upgrades disrupting everything. I was looking into adding a hardware Mackie or Behringer controller ($500 or so) in order to mix beyond just mousing around or drawing volume curves. Daw Control at $2.99 was hardly a big gamble but did I ever win. Everything works perfectly with greater depth of control than anticipated, including FX editing! There is even the ability to create a screen template simply changing the button labels to match the DAW specific functions. Customizability abounds from there by reassigning links, but still exploring pre-programed controls and finding they cover almost everything. Highly recommended and should work with any software DAW that supports the Mackie Midi Control protocol. Its really nice to have a wireless control surface. On the down side: I would have never known the depth of what was possible without the documentation provided by MOTU as there is NO MANUAL that comes with this software emulation other than basic instructions to be recognized by the computer. Obviously no footswitch punch in out. Show more

The app for windows network techs, not musicians.
I'm running 32bit Windows 10 on a Dell notebook with Reaper and an iPad Air. I was able to select, arm, play and record tracks a couple of times. The third time I booted up, rtpMIDI could not find my iPad. I uninstalled rtpMIDI and bonjour and rebooted my computer, laptop and modem. I've tried it with my firewalls and virus protection disabled. I want to spend my time recording music, not troubleshooting. I appreciate the developers trying to make something useful, but there is not any meaningful support for Windows, so I just can't give this app any love. You have my five bucks. That will have to suffice. Show more

    Great for the Price
So far, I like it as well as Logic Remote.

    Perfect for my needs
Granted, I'm not using it very deeply, but it's awesome for what I'm doing. This includes some basic mixing: faders, transport controls, etc all work perfectly. Love it.

    No no no no no
Will not work for PC. I run windows 7 and I use all kinds of DAW's. I got this specifically for ableton and it worked 2 times in the 48 hours that I've used it. I want a refund!! There isn't even a support page or help or anything. I emailed the company and still no reply. C'mon guys, if you're gonna make a product at least make sure it freaking works. Show more

    Almost Perfect! Great Job
I'm a professional engineer and hate not having something to control my session other than a mouse and keyboard. This is a great substitute that can easily be setup in ANY STUDIO. Saves so much time especially when track arming and going for that double take. Takes a bunch of mouse licks and moves with one hand and puts them on the iPad and gets you ready to do another take in a couple of seconds. A must have for any engineer without a console on control surface. Show more

    Pretty Cool - Good Price
I have been quite happy with my purchase of this app. It connects well in my experience and has great options. I have not tried other Mackie emulators to compare but this one is solid for the price. My biggest complaint at this moment is the lack of options or settings for the device. I understand there isn’t much that really needs to change, but I am at least frustrated that I can not disable the clicking sound it makes when you press the button. I use an external interface with my iPad that serves other functions. This app is pretty much useless to use when i am working with my other audio apps because you hear a click with every press of a button. Its a minor thing in general, but people who use this also work in studios so it seems only like a practical idea to me to be able to disable sounds in the app. Overall though it is decent for the price you pay. Works with my old G5 tower!
I run Logic Express 8 on an old G5 so I was not expecting a miracle. I got one anyway. This $5 app instantly upgraded my studio.
