    Cute, but limited
It works, most of the time, but any attempt to skip through the score screens results in a loss of audible notes. Once the cute wore off, I found myself wishing that I could turn down the munching sounds and just do more practicing. It's not clear how many stars there are or if there is any way to progress or finish. No instructions or guidance within the game interface. Show more

    Bad ? and frustrating
It is hard to keep up on the fist song!!! It is frustrating because it makes you start with no help and expects you to know what to do and I hate it. Show more

    Good for Practicing music?
It is ok. If you want to practice music and you are a beginner you should get this app. I already know all this stuff. It was fun when I first got it. In all it is a good app. Show more

    Meh
I was really impressed at first, but it becomes extremely repetitive and boring after a bit. I mastered "do" to "so", and it won't go further than that on the free game. Wouldn't pay money for more based on the free version. Show more

    Pretty fun
I prefer using my own worksheets, but this is a pretty fun option to my younger students. They get determined to answer correctly. Found it most useful without "help" comments or sound effects. These seemed a bit distracting. Show more

    Fun but needs quarter notes
The game play is fun - better than other note-learning apps. However, kids usually learn quarter notes before whole notes. My son has a hard time recognizing notes he has no trouble with when they are quarters. And learning these notes won't directly help with his piano music reading. Perhaps note duration could be an option. Show more

    Who programmed this?
What is this even supposed to do? It doesn't make sense, if the monster gets you, it just does it for you, if you get it wrong, it does it for you, and you can't tell the difference between them helping you and not! Also the notes sound the same. This is how students think of it. Show more

    good for practice
I like the idea. the graphics are fine. i like that the kids can get some wrong and still be in the game. that is a problem with some other apps I’ve found. i like the speed of the notes slow first, then get faster. I do not like that you have to buy different versions for iPad and iPhone. it’s the exact same game. $5 for the app is a bit expensive for what it does but $10 for both devices is not really worth it. I’d rather find one like it that works with both. Show more

Great with Keyboard / digital Piano
I attached my Kawai digital piano via USB cable and the Apple Lightening USB adapter and so can use the piano keyboard to play. This is excellent to get it all into muscle memory. Show more

    Noteworks
Great app for children to get comfortable with their note reading. SO much more fun than traditional flash cards. As a music teacher, I am recommending this app to all of my students! Show more

I like this app. It's simple yet it's fun. No fancy complex stuff. Helps a lot. I deleted all my other music training stuff and this is what I use all the time. Show more

Loved that my 6yo really had fun with this. He is looking forward to playing again. I am looking forward to his piano teacher noticing how his note recognition has improved! Show more

    Fast & Fun!
Considering that without ANY prior training in music- initial notes were found purely by trial & error- I managed to get familiar with the first five notes during only a brief coffee break. I love it! Maybe that piano gathering dust will get played after all! Show more
