    Super cool, super easy!!
Behold the future of writing great songs, collaborating with the VERY TOP British session musicians without leaving the crib!! I really can’t believe how great these tracks sound, how solid the grooves are, how creative the ideas are, how MANY options you have at your fingertips. If you’re in a slump and need inspiration, look no further than Sessionband. Need live musicians to make your programmed tracks feel AMAZING? You’re in the right place. Show more

    Pretty good
I do like session band but when I export a track to Cubasis it lags. I does not stay with metronome. So I can’t use it.

    Wow!
The more I get to know this app the better. Top rate. Congratulations and thanks for bundling them at a discount. Very intuitive too. Easy to use.

    Great sketching tool.
I’ve been using SessionBand for sketching some ideas for an audiobook score that I’m working on for an upcoming Audiobook written by a 5-time Grammy winning Musician. It has been invaluable for developing interesting chord changes and grooves. If you write Music, you should definitely use SessionBand apps! Show more

    What Happened?
Stalls and crashes on an iPad 2 with iOS 9.3.5. Reinstall didn't fix it. Used to work great.

    Sessionband is really great!,,,,!!
But still lack of connection with your other apps!! You need to improve file share system ! For example, if I made chord session in original version.... But I should make same chord session or need to use desktop computer to export acoustic1 or piano or country sessionband. but I dont have personal computer . Do you hear me?? So you need to improve file share system. Every app need to use same chord session(already made) If I made song chord in original band... then.also..it recomendered...another sessionband app can use this song chord session in my ipad. Today apple opened their file system through file apps. We can select files in documents apps. So you need to improve file system like this.... Sb files can be saved in documents file folder. And through this, we can download sb files to any apps you sold to us. I, m not good at english . I,m foreighner... I dont english in my daily life.... so I dont convince my english sentence is correct or not. But I hope you can understand my wording... Thank you for these apps!, good luck!!! Show more

    Great Concept, but Very Limited
While I respect the fact that this is a cool little app and acknowledge that each audio track is of high quality, it is still very limited in what you can do with creating a song. 80,000 royalty free sound samples in one little app sounds amazing, and just what non-instrument playing songwriters could hope for in an app. However, this is a bit misleading. These sound samples are confined to different musical styles, and to my limited knowledge of using the app, means that once you choose and apply a particular style, you are stuck using ONLY the sound samples created in the style’s demo. What does this mean for the songwriter? Basically, if you would write ten songs with ten entirely different chord progressions using the same demo and style (Alternative 1 demo in the Rock style, for example) you would essentially have ten songs using the same rhythm guitar parts, drums beats, bass lines, etc., which would make ten songs sound oddly similar. Even your verses, B-sections, and choruses will have the same rhythmic approach, regardless of the options to add one of three drums fills per chord. My question is, “why, why, why not allow the songwriter to choose ANY sound sample among the 80,000 to be applied to a track?” This is why I gave it 3 stars. I would love for the makers of the SessionBand line to prove me wrong. In fact, I’ve emailed them twice, yet no reply. Still, this app would work great for songwriter’s tool to get the basis of the song progression down as a rhythm demo guide for their ideas. Then an actual band or a better sequencing program could turn their basic layout into something they could release as a finished song. Show more

    Crashes Each Time
The app crashes each and every time I try to save a chord progression.

    Disappointed!!!!
This particular app is not Audiobus compatible!!!! Beware!!! I don't know why when all the others are...so I felt I was ripped off!

    Another crappy app.
Another crappy, not even free, "freemium" music app from the app store. Awful, non-intuitive interface, buggy controls and all around annoying app. Don't any of these companies test their stuff before releasing? What a waste of 3 bucks. Show more

    Abominable UI
The UI on this thing is absolutely frustrating and made me want to stab someone ? Try ANY other app.

Get your Song juices flowing with these apps!
They sound so beautiful! Imagine you trying to record all these amazing instruments in your studio or even paying for musicians to record for you in a real studio? Well, this is where Session Band truly shines. It is in the effort, quality and inexpensive alternative to doing the above. You can literally record a track and get inspired to make a whole song out of it. Or you can use Audio bus, and chop it up into your DAW, like Cubasis or Auria and loop it, and do other amazing things with the audio. Your imagination is really the limit. I contacted the developer and they are working on fixing the timing issue when exporting and other fixes. I appreciate their support for this apps and although it is audio, and the file size might be bigger than we wish, the sound is superb! People need to understand that the when you change the speed of audio no matter how good the shifting is, the quality will degrade. So, having that in mind, I don't complain about the sound changing when changing the speed of the song. But if you use it as is, and build your song at the actual speed stated, then you're good to go. Perhaps in the future, the iPad will allow for better time stretching technology but for now, this is what we have and personally, I'm really grateful for the ability to take these amazing recording Musicians with me in my personal bag and record with them at any time, any place and let all my songs come to life playing along with amazing musicians. The very best! Thank you for the continued support to these apps and looking forward to what is coming! MM4C Show more

    What a mixed bag!
So many pros and some serious cons here. On the good side, really nice loops for creating or inspiring grooves. Good variety (some of which I could do without), very fine musicianship. I do a lot of my writing on a PSR3000 arranger keyboard, and this is a workable (though not playable) sketch version of that philosophy. Just enter the chords, decide how long each lasts, and you can then sample those changes in a wide variety of styles and substyles. It’s inexpensive; I paid $2.99, and the same again for the “Complete Bundle.” Cons? Oh yes. Editing is a chore. You start from the beginning of the song each time you hit play. Why not establish a start point? How hard could that be? You can’t even start and stop while in edit mode. It is possible, fortunately, to insert chords within the structure, a good thing. Here’s what needs all kinds of work. Downloading the Complete Bundle is a Herculean task. You wind up having to download each of the (MANY!) packs individually. Yes, each blues style, each rock style, the next rock style, on and on. Worse, you can do only two at a time, it takes a while, and amazingly will not download in the background! So you wind up having to hover over the whole process. It’s been several hours for me and I’m still not done. Sorry - that’s lousy coding. Yes, these are large, audio files. But musicianship isn’t all there is to a usable app. It’s a bargain for what it is, esp. in view of some of the other subgroups being 2-3x the price, something that could also use work. So pros and cons, good stuff and bad, three stars. I’ll up it when they change some of the deficits, including the download ordeal. Show more

    Not worth it
The app crashes every time I edit a chord. Not worth all of the money. I enjoy working much better with Capture Duo for audio or my Ableton Live and Logic. On the ipad: Chord Poly Pad for chord input or Chordbot. For beats get Imaschine, beatmaker2 and to add to the mix check out fruity loops. Show more

    Fun after you learn it
Gotta say that I like the potential with this app to come up with chord progressions and song ideas but it was a real pain to get the hang of making it do what I wanted. I spent a couple of hours or more building a chord progression but this invoked many curse words during the learning. Still, for $2.99, I think it's a pretty neat app but it's much harder to use than GarageBand. Show more

    Waste of money until ....
I love the concept but until they do a LOT more to it, I wish I had my money back. Cannot use the different pkgs together either. Extremely limited in control. As is, nothing more than a jam toy. Pick your chords? That's it? Get real! Tons of potential if they cared about more than cramming out limited releases to make more money Not buying another thing from this company until they get serious! Show more
