I’ve labored my way through using this App now for over a year and it is incredibly frustrating: Suddenly the sound is interrupted, though I haven’t moved position nor has WiFi lapsed; then there is the lag in response when touching the arrow for “play” and/or the double bar for “stop”. This App hasn’t been updated in years and always getting age old texts on the main page is also pretty lame. All in all: you have me relying on the physical radio because this App doesn’t do the job. App stops audio whenever there’s a momentary loss of signal, such as changing from 5G to LTE. It requires multiple prompts to restart audio, sometimes requiring selecting a different station. Volume is not equal across stations, with some very quiet and others very loud. Switching stations when the audio is working is good, since pressing the skip button on the radio is easier than trying to select individual stations on the app. Show more

Love the eclectic music. Especially the hand picked jazz gems by all the volunteer DJs. My heart goes out to all of them and I do support their love dedication and effort. My one and only peev about the app is that the Archive streams don't play in the background. The music stops as soon as the screen is moved or dimmed or put to sleep. Mind you there is no problem with the live streams. Just the archive streams. Fix that and you are a five star ??? Show more

For some reason it dims the screen to the point of unreadability.

It maybe buggy sometimes but keep in mind it's listener supported. The iPhone is buggy too. It's really nice to stream the radio in the background when I get out of my car I get to finish the show's now. Show more

This is only a simple congregation of all Pacifica websites and not yet ready to be called an app.

Stops working if one's stream is stopped and doesn't restart unless one restarts the app. Wish there were an easy feedback link within app.

Although the app works well enough, it has one great flaw: the app never remembers where you were the last time you used the app. Every time it launches, the user has to navigate all over again to the live stream of the station last listened to. This is extremely annoying, especially in the car. Although using a dedicated app for Pacifica radio has certain advantages over an all-purpose radio tuner like TuneIn Radio, it is much faster and easier to activate the live radio stream I normally listen to using TuneIn. Nothing flashy about this app, and although it functions as a means to listen on mobile device, there's still much to be desired. I just updated to iPhone 6 but the app would not reupload and open. What happened? Show more

This app is extremely frustrating! It crashes constantly and has to be re-booted. The developers need to fix it ASAP!

Gets the worst app of the year award. How could you have released this app to the public in this condition?

The app is great when it works. However, it has bugs that need to be fixed. Sometimes the stream just goes dead and does not return; same thing happens when I receive a call. A great source of true information, like Pacifica, needs a great app that works well. Show more

I love this app, it's really cool to listen to my local station or any of the other ones around the country. Thank God for Pacifica.

You can listen live to any of 6 Pacifica stations around the country. You can also listen to some but not all archives. A bit weird: to listen to an archive you press the download link and it will play. The play links never work. When playing back archives it will stop playing if the screen sleeps and then continue once you unlock the screen again. Despite these defects it is a good app and I recommend it. Thanks. Show more

needs more timely updates of news.....

The coverage of Pacifica is great. We need this coverage to stay informed and in the loop. Unfortunately, the app is almost unusable. The stream stops whenever the screen goes to sleep and it also stops when I get a text, and will not start again until I manually restart it. Same thing with switching to other apps. This is not the case with other news apps. For instance, as I write this review I am listening to NPR's hourly news through its app. Fix that problem, and this app would be awesome! Show more

This app is great for listening to live shows. Unfortunately, it won't let me listen to archived shows, which I listen to more than live. Are archived shows not allowed to play on iPhones or is there a bug which needs to be fixed? Bummed it's not working... Show more
