It’s a little bit annoying that you can’t play all of the songs without buying a subscription. But overall it’s a very fun game.

Smooth audio packs, with endless possibilities. Major artists, to homegrown beat artists. Recommended for iPad in my opinion, this allows for volume control of the soundscapes, as ell as say access to effects. Show more

Why haven’t there been any new sound packs for premium in what seems like a few weeks now ? It’s never taken this long and it’s making me want to cancel my subscription. I mean why pay for the premium otherwise ? It’s probably better to just pay when the packs become available. Show more

First off, I want to say thank you to the Ampify developers of Launchpad. As an “old-school” musician, and electronic music producer, Launchpad has helped me transition to an iOS-based music platform, and more fully embrace the iOS ecosystem for live music performance. Generally, I find that using an iPad for live performance is much more portable, convenient, and efficient than with a laptop. I use guitars and other instruments when I’m performing live, and I need a set up that is streamlined and quick, allowing me to focus on the other instruments that I am also playing simultaneously. Launchpad opened this door for me. I gravitated toward Launchpad when I was looking for an iOS app that was similar to Ableton live’s Session view. Launchpad offers a familiar grid-based system for clip launching, and allows for importing audio files (this function is an essential in-app purchase). With the capability of using an audio interface with my iPad Pro, sound quality is much better than it once was. I also prefer to upload my own audio clips into Launchpad that I created myself using a DAW rather than uses sample packs. Using 24 bit wav files sounds much better than highly compressed and smaller MP3 files. Using my own samples also avoids any copyright concerns that can arise from using other people’s creations. Launchpad also offers useful integration with mary controllers, including Novation’s Launchkey XL, and Launchpad, allowing for more tactile engagement during live performance. Midi controllers are connected to the iPad with Apple’s USB-C Digital multiport adapter and a USB hub. I find Launchpad’s built in effects useful and musical, particularly the delay, as the parameters are tweakable. Would appreciate if there was also a reverb. Lately I am looking for solutions that will allow automated transitions between cells and scenes, called “follow actions“ in Ableton live. Follow actions allow for hands-free changes within a song, whereas simple repeating loops can become a bit too repetitive at times. Recommendations for the Ampify developers: 1) add a button to launch scenes, 2) allow “follow actions”, 3) allow effects to be placed on individual cells, as opposed to just columns, and 4) the option to reverse clips.
