Why for the love of god does the app now shut down when my phone screen goes dark/sleeps! This issue renders the app totally useless. Is there a work around for this or should I just give up now. Can I get my old version back?! I was in love with this thing- now it’s becoming something I avoid using for the reason mentioned above. Deleting and reloading the app does not fix this problem. But you lose all of your favorite tapes in the process so at least there’s that :/ Show more

Love this app but the update has left us with no music when the app is left or the phone sleeps. Come on guys....bring my favorite app back to a 5 star rating. I do love the new views and the tape movement. Thx for listening. GD fan Show more

I listen to teaching tapes and had to go through my desktop web browser on archive.org, I thought this was a great app so I can listen from my phone. There is over 40 teaching tapes under the teachers name and no matter how I searched on this app zero was found.. oh well nothing is perfect... Show more

I forgot about the magic that happened at shows. I forgot about how I used to think Jerri or Bobby or Phil were singing directly to me. This app has become my daily magic meditation. I reckon it started when I was fast I’m in back to pre-95. It landed on my oldest daughter’s birthday 3/11/93. I’m not sure why I never listen to the Shell before but I suppose I was busy for a few decades. Did I mention that this daughter is in speaking to me right now? Well I came to believe in magic again because the show was as if Jerri was reaching out 25 years into the future and seeing them directly to me today. I was writing my daughter the fourth letter by the time we got to space. I was writing about magic and the magic of the Grateful Dead. That’s when Kim Nordine came on during space to read a poem about magic. This happened with almost every song at the show. I was literally chopping down my first tree while listening to the show. Went by the chainsaw I was shopping down the tree maybe crying when liberty came on. I’ll chop it down you can’t stop me, sake of my baby I’d kill for love. it did not become a meditation now until the next show I fast to was August 16, 1980 in Edwardsville Illinois. You don’t hear of many shows there but that is also where my daughter grew up. I most definitely got the message. So every day I fest them to the Grateful dead and always get the message. Show more

This app is fantastic. An easy way to navigate the archive. I have one small complaint. I wish you could create an account that would save your favorite artists and shows. I recently got a new phone and have to go through and save them all over again. Show more

This app is so great for streaming LMA bands compared to what I have been using. Is there any chance of adding the ability to access Community Audio recordings? I post about half my recordings to the CA section, and a lot of bands just don't take the time to set up an LMA page despite my pleas... Thanks for your work. Awesome product. Show more

Stream over 10,000 live grateful dead show... simply amazing. This is my go-to app for Dead, Phil Lesh and friends, rat dog and Furthur shows. The latest update now has much needed fast forward capabilities. Downloads are fast and reviews are straight from Archive.org. Thank you!! Show more

I transitioned from cassettes to DAT, but have pretty much skipped CD's and downloads... as someone who enjoys listening to shows, it's been a long 15 years. This app blows my mind! Now, I can temporarily download shows to my phone and enjoy gapless playback! Am I dreaming? I've got that long play DAT bootleg feeling back, if not quite the DAT's equal for sound quality. Many moons ago I never dreamed of having every show available at my fingertips. Use this mainly for GD but also great for ween, GSBG, ratdog, Ryan Adams and others on this wide genre of BTAT. Great UI and search functionality. Just get it. Peace. Show more
