    Junk.
Apogee had a great reputation in the late ‘00’s due to the original Duet. Somehow they seem to have no desire to live up to it since that time. My Duet 2 had a recurring firmware issue that forced me to return it. My One no longer works with modern iOS devices with USB-C. This is not permanent hardware incompatibility. They just don’t want to update the software. If you are serious about great hardware and software support for as long as your device lasts, check out RME. They are in a completely different (read: better) class. Avoid Apogee. Show more

No longer works with Apogee One and iOS 15
Really disappointed that they chose not to keep up to date with the latest iOS versions.

No longer works with Apogee One
Really disappointed that this no longer works on iPads with iOS 15+ on them.

    Apogee software team is terrible
First they for some reason....can’t make this app work for the 2020 IPad Pro, so I can’t really use my Duet...for Mac/IPad...with my IPad. I ended up getting a Symphony Desktop....but it doesn’t have usb midi like the Duet...or charge my IPad like the Duet. What so hard about making Maestro work with the IPad Pro and have it recognize the Duet? And speaking of the Symphony Desktop, several features that made me buy it....that have been advertised in the video Apogee posted on their website .........in June of 2020, like dual path monitoring and desktop control app...are still not available. Apogee makes great interfaces that sound great....but apparently they just aren’t that good when it comes to the software side of things. Show more

    Unstable and outdated
Crashes and won’t initiate constantly. Definitely an old app that hasn’t been updated in a long time. Disconnects every time you minimize the app.

    Whack App.
I’ve had the One interface for a while and decided to try it on my iPad Pro. Installed the Maestro app and wow! Instant disappointment. Meters keeps showing signal on input and output when there’s no signal. For such a reputable company as Apogee you would think they would have put a priority into fixing this issue. Great sounding interface. Whack app. Show more

    Low functioning
Didn’t really work at all with fully firmware-updated duet 2. Apogee has an undeserved reputation for being fully integrated with Mac platforms. I have always had issues with their stuff and software... is definitely not their forte. Show more

App *still* doesn’t work on iPad Pro
I have a 2018 iPad pro that I was planning to use with an Apogee One that I recently purchased. The app doesn’t recognize the device and I’m left having to return a product to the Apple Store during a pandemic. This is a failure both for Apogee and for Apple that they are selling a pretty expensive piece of hardware that isn’t actually compatible with their current lineup of iDevices. I’m not at all happy with this situation. Buyer beware. I wish I had read up on the app prior to buying the hardware. Show more

Does not work on iPad Pro please fix!!!
The software doesn’t recognize the interface. If you change settings on a mac (input settings for instance) you can use the apogee Duet with GarageBand or other software, but the Apogee software on iPad doesn’t see the device so changing settings in impossible. Please fix this...many people are waiting for a long time now! Thanks! Show more

    Apogee One Works Awesome!
Using with iPad Air 2, iOS 13.3, and lightning cable. Pristine sound clarity when using plug-ins on garage band. No more cross talk or feed back when working with garage band. Set the gains at just the right level. I can definitely hear a quality of difference in sound when compared to my previous and less expensive audio interface. I would recommend Apogee One for iPad. Biggest waste of time and money
I bought apogee duet for IOS and guess what? The phantom power button would not work for the device in the app.I paid almost 400.00 dollars for the device and had no luck. Seriously this brand is very misleading and disappointing. Show more

    Incompatible with USB-C iPad Pro
Apogee said they would release an update to make this software compatible with the new iPad Pro after Apple changed they way USB devices work, but it’s been almost a year now and still nothing. Show more

    Shame
Ordered a new cable for my iPad Pro 11 inch. I didn’t realize that this app is not supported anymore.
  • mg716, 13.06.2019
    Incredibly frustrating
This is incompatible with the newer iPad Pro’s with USB-C. Whether you’re using an adapter or official USB-C cable, this app is unable to fully control the Duet. If you advertise as supporting the iPad, then support the iPad. This was my primary reason for buying a Duet. Show more

Useless for new IPad Pros with USB-C
New iPad Pros will not recognize my ONEv2 or Quartet using the Apogee USB-C cable, and will work fine as an interface, good luck trying to get Maestro recognize the device: it won’t. So, if you care about the settings in Maestro, you are out of Luck with a 11 or 12 inch iPad Pro until Apogee offers a solution. Show more

Worked once and lightning cable issues ruined it.
Ok...Apogee was my dream converter over UA but now I have lost the confidence necessary to record my music. After it sat in my case waiting to be used a couple of updates to I-Pad Pro and a brand new backup cable for my One on hand in case of another issue I was ready to record....alas now my One don’t work at all and the warranty is out. Almost 400 US for one use and not functioning for my second opportunity I now have zero confidence in Apogee. I will go to UA as it makes no sense to pay for repair and still have no confidence. Real musicians will understand. Show more

Does not remember gain level settings for ClipMic
When used with Sennheiser Clipmic, gain settings are not remembered when you unplug and replug the mic Lightning cable. It zeroes out. And you have to re-open the app every time you want to use the mic again. Show more
