Maestro app keeps crashing. When it's not doing that the meters are peaking and various mute and solo buttons engage for no apparent reason. I thought Apogee and Apple products were supposed to work together. I am apparently not alone. HELLO APOGEE. ARE YOU LISTENING? Show more

    Love Apogee Products But...
Please make this useful for the Symphony I/O. It's the flagship interface and should be supported as all other hardware is. I'd love to be able to control my fully featured interface from this app. Thanks! Show more

    Worse than Useless
For a product marketed for use with Apple products only, the support for the Apogee One is inconsistent an abysmal. Completely useless with this app and new iPhone. Would never purchase Apogee product again. Show more

It finally works with 9.3 beta
Everyone that's complaining about their apogee not working with the 9.2 update, go try the 9.3 beta version. My apogee now works flawlessly on my 5s.

    Great, simple hardware control
Maestro is a great way to control Apogee gear from iOS. Very simple and straight forward.

Easy to use app for routing and apogee interface options
I use my duet with this app. Works perfectly and is easy to figure out. If you have an apogee interface connected this is app is a must.

Maestro is worthless after iOS 9 update
I have an iPad Air 2 and now after the iOS 9 "upgrade" all my audio apps, including Maestro and the Apogee One interface are useless. It has to be iOS 9. No one at Apogee or Apple seems to be addressing or even acknowledging the seriousness of this issue. I have spent over $500 in hardware and apps that are now worthless. It isn't just noise, Maestro doesn't work right at all; inputs max out, level controller stops working, monitoring doesn't work etc. Recorded a test track in Auria and sound got in but mostly it's a glitchy noisy mess. History: I bought an Apogee One 3 years ago, it worked ok on ipad 2. Then I upgraded to an iPad air 2 with lightning connector (and had to shell out over $30 just for Apogee's usb to lightning cable but that's another story). But it all worked until the upgrade from iOS 8.x to iOS 9.2.1 Show more

MKE 2 Digital - Quality Mic Failed by App
The MKE 2 Digital is the same superb broadcast quality mic you're used to from Sennheiser, but unfortunately it can't be used to broadcast on iOS due to bugs in Apogee's required app. Although the MKE 2 interfaces with Core Audio, the Maestro app randomly zeros out its levels, so every time the mic is used in apps (i.e. Periscope), levels have to be reset, thus necessitating launching Maestro and ending the live broadcast. Since the MKE 2 and Clip Mic Digital cannot function without Maestro, Apogee must address this, yet they do not. Considering the high price of the MKE2 Digital and its reliance on the Maestro app to be used for anything other than MetaRecorder, fixing Maestro should be a top priority for Apogee. It's a shame that Sennheiser produced a device of the utmost quality only to be failed by Apogee's software. Based on App Store reviews, I would expect Apogee to have addressed these issues by now, yet there have been no updates to Maestro since April 2015 when initial support was added for the Sennheiser mics. Don't buy this software...its worthless
Below is a copy of a letter from the Apple help desk today regarding the uselessness of Apogee after downloading their bug laden IOS 9.2 iPad update. Dear Marrisse, Respectfully, your reply is simply unworthy of a response. I finally got apogee company on the phone and talked to their engineer. They point me to you to rectify the problem whereas in ur letter below u point me to apogee! What gives? I have $1000 total invested in This $600 iPad and $400 apogee recording interface. I am a pro musician and an electrical engineer...this problem is NOT trivial. You and apogee both know IOS 9.2 bugs are the culprit. Tell ur management to fix this problem or I assure you that I will get rid of my Apple Music recording devices and go to a PC based studio music recording computer in the future. My recording efforts are shut down for the moment. I rely on this iPad to make hi def audio and video recordings etc, and you have rendered it worthless to me except to read email and take pictures. I'll give half
So it won't work on any new Apple devices with the Lightning port (it could be a faulty cable). For the older iOS devices it works as soon as I plug it in without a problem. Then again it could be the cable. If it's not the cable, Apogee could you please resolve this issue I haven't seen anyone be successful exempt you guys in your videos. Show more

    Worthless
The title says it all. This app simply doesn't work. We lost irreplaceable recording opportunities due to this unbelievably incompetent mess. We would rate this app with a negative number if it was possible. Show more

    Maestro
Very Not Impressed! Software hijacks headphones when used with instrument line. Multiple restarts helps but who the hell wants to do that!!!!! Update for system and hardware compatibility! Got the mic that this services for use on Smule Sing. Mic is great! So far the instrument line is a FAIL!!! Show more

    Update Needed
Works well enough with Apogee ONE but desperately needs an update to support the native resolution of iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.

    What the heck
When I first open up the app, I have no idea what I am looking at or doing. It's all very confusing and I can't manage it. How do I record? I just simply don't get it. Show more

Granted, this is just a utility, but....
Understandably, this isn't going to be your "fun" app or favorite app, but it makes a great front end for controlling Apogee hardware just the same as you would from a Mac. While most of the use of my Quartet has been on my Mac, I have had the chance to use this utility in my iPad while tracking music using Auria and it performed flawlessly. (The Maestro software anyway, on my second Quartet and this one is just as buggy as the first one, but that's for another review). I'm a big fan of having all of the features I'm used to on my Mac now available on my iPad for when I'm just out and about and don't feel like dragging a mountain of stuff with me. This is likely the most professional equipment/software setup available for the platform for sound recording. The app is great if you happen to own a MFi device made by Apogee. (Now if they would just sort out the Quartet taking a nap while it should be awake, that would be nice.) Show more
