Does not work with iPad 4 and GarageBand
The new ONE for iPad & Mac does not work with an iPad 4 and GarageBand. It is difficult to determine if the problem is with Maestro or the device. I am on my second ONE, the first having a bad control knob--or so it appeared. Maestro is supposed to act as a Low Latency Mixer for the ONE, but the Software Return in which audio from GarageBand is routed through to output, does not work. While I can hear my amplified guitar through the ONE, I cannot hear any effects through GarageBand. I can't record either. I called Apogee but was unable to speak to anyone other than the person answering the phone. When she transferred me to "support," my call went unanswered and finally dropped. Online support, along with their knowledge base and manual, leaves MUCH to be desired as well. The ONE for iPad & Mac and Maestro are not ready for release. Wait until they get the bugs worked out. Unfortunately I did not and now I have a fancy and very expensive paper weight. Show more
