Pretty cool app.

So when I was looking into apps to make tabs I saw Jam Maestro and saw the price and tried to run from it. I quickly found everything below them in price is trash and decided to break my wallet open and give it a try. I have loved what I have found. Easy tunings even for 7 strings, easy to add instruments, intuitive interface, and there are tutorials everywhere. I would say that this app is everything I was looking for. Show more

It’s a great way to pass time as I’m at work thinking of things that I could practice when I get home!

I love this app. You can use acoustic guitars, electric guitars, bass and drums. You can play 6 or 7 string on acoustic and electric, 4 or 5 string on the bass. You can even do custom tuning too! There are several types of drums and percussion. You can also use another app called ThumbJam with jam maestro which adds tons more instruments from pianos to violins to a mega saw. This app is great. You can also use Dropbox. I love that I can email my tabs. The best part of this app is that you can play back your tabs and listen to them instantly. The instruments sound great and the support for the app is top notch. I always get emails back very quickly if I have a question. I had been looking for an app or program that allows you to transfer your musical ideas into sound without instruments. I recommend this app for people trying to test their songs. Show more

Amazing!! Best mobile midi app I've used thus far

It keeps crashing in iOS 14.6 then in iOS 14.7 when trying to decompress samples. The logs are now full of This apps crash reports….

I’ve used this app for years. Jam Maestro has become a crucial tool for composition and collaboration for me.

Great tones

I honestly love this app, I’ve been using it to write all my drum tabs and it’s so easy to use. One of the best parts about this app is that I can have my Spotify premium going on in the background of the app and play my tab and the song at the same time to see if I missed anything or if I need to make some changes, I dont know if that was intentional on the creators part but they should never change it. A few things i would love to see added to this app is ghost notes and being able to write in between beats. You can already kind of write ghost notes in the app by just putting on a second drum set and lowering the volume, but you cant quite get the same affect, and so I would love to see that become a setting like how the guitars can mute and bend. Writing in between beats would be helpful just to use 12th notes to make beats more creative, it’s not the biggest deal not having it, I was able to write a tab to a song that used 12th notes by just spreading them out farther and closer to make it sound like it, but It would be appreciated to be able to do that without going through trial and error like I did. Besides those two features that I would really like to see added into any new update, I really love this app, I couldn’t recommend it enough to people who are looking to write their own covers, keep up the good work! Nicest app I’ve ever used

This app has been a great tool for writing music when the band can’t get together. Love this app!

Great app

After a small learning curve this is a great app. Very intuitive and has some great functions like adding notation for a full band mix, customizable guitar sounds and fx, and input notes from guitar string layout. Touch input on iPad blows away trying to tab on a computer. MIDI export function is great addition. Guitar sound is very usable. Export works well too. Lots to dig into and I’m still learning more cool stuff I can do with this app. There are some hiccups here and there, but mostly with guitar fx. I did lose one session after clicking “Restore Session” when opening the app... could have been my error in saving, idk. I just cancel that every time I open the app and it works fine. Would love to see AU implementation! Definitely worth the money, especially on iPad. iPhone version is great also... just remember to turn the layout for different modes, that was confusing at first. 4/5 overall app 5/5 in iOS tab apps Show more

So far this app has given me a lot to work with and learn. I tried a few other apps but this one seems to has the best interface for writing tab as well as being able to compose. I’m rather pleased with it. However, there are perhaps a couple of things I would change such as the ability to skip to a particular measure or the beginning or end more easily. Generally though, it is a great app and I am very pleased with the purchase. Show more

This app is good for making tabs for songs with lots of switching between acoustic guitar and heavier, distorted guitar

I left a review with a different device a year or 2 ago but the app keeps asking me to leave another so I’d like to reiterate that it’s awesome. I write on the guitar and it goes right to this app for drums and bass then to logic for software instruments. Literally in love with this app. Thank you ?? Show more
