Best chord app you never knew existed.
I’m not fond of the interface but this is one powerful app. I also wish the color coding worked, it doesn’t for some reason and never has for me. I use this for all my stringed instruments, from ukulele to 5 string banjo to 8 string guitar, it works for them all. I find that I’m using this to learn scales and theory way more than tabs. It is in dire need of an update but it’s still totally worth it. Show more

    My favorite music app
I’m the type who always asks “why?”, so when I learn & improvise on guitar I like to know the theory behind it. I pull out this app all the time to understand chords I see in tabs or to figure out a weird chord I just came up with. It also does scales, so I can see all the notes of a scale on the fretboard — if I plug in one of those weird chords I made up, it will show me what scales it fits in, so I can try out other chords that might work with it. It’s just invaluable, and the UI is so polished. A must-buy. Show more

Amazing app - phenomenal lead sheets
Been playing guitar over 40 years, and have used an iPad as a learning/composing/recording/transcribing/lead sheet creation tool for as long as iPads have existed. This is one of the best apps I’ve ever come across. Everything is quite intuitive, but the online documentation clarifies anything that you can’t figure out from context. I hope the developer continues to support it. I’m extremely impressed. Show more

Chord Search not working…last updated 2 YEARS AGO
Not able to add chords. The method for doing so, "chord search" simply doesn’t work. I don’t even know how it’s supposed to work but I know it’s definitely not working as it is. Show more

    My most used music app!
I have bought well over 30 musician apps to help me become a better musician but this one is my most used app. I use it every day!! Sure it has chord look ups and cool features, but my biggest use case is to use it for live setlists. If you are playing live at a gig, it’s helpful to have your list of songs with their chords and lyrics. This app makes that so easy to do! Just import a regular chord text file and it recognizes which parts are chords and which parts are lyrics. You can then group and reorder all your songs into set lists. What is really cool over other set list apps is the fact that you can customize a chord to the specific one you play and with an easy replace function it allows you to apply your special chord to the entire song! It even has an auto scroll function plus a way to associate the song with an Audio track so you can play along with your own backing track. This app is so powerful, the only downside I see is that it has a steep learning curve and I which there were better tutorials to help people learn what took me a little while to pick up! Show more

    Support
You definitely need a user guide to understand how to use this app. There’s one online but developer will not offer a downloadable pdf. Very nice, comprehensive app but I need downloadable pdf for when I’m without WiFi Show more

    Excelent App
This is a very good App, that needs a replica or duplicate app for instruments like: keyboards. App needs update for iPhone XS Max

    Wonderful app!
Well deserving of 5 stars!I’m brand new to music theory, and am very much a visual learner. This is the perfect app for someone like me, who often needs very detailed examples of self-taught subjects. Every detail of the app seems interwoven & relative. I don’t seem to get confused or needing to refer back to another part that was learned and quickly forgotten. In other words, because this app defines concepts as you see it, it’s very easy to understand and explore the material without getting lost or ahead of yourself. Sorry if I can’t explain it the best way possible, but for those that are visual learners, or perhaps have challenges with attention or memory, this is the music theory app for you! Show more

    Superb tool
This app is exactly what I was looking for. If you find yourself grappling with problems like how to efficiently play the D Phrygian Dominant scale on a banjo (as I do) then this is indubitably the app you’ve been looking for. Show more

    Best Chord/Scale App Ever!
Chord! is by far the best guitar app available. I’ve owned it for several years now and continue to find it extremely useful. It has the best user interface design for any guitar app that I’ve seen as well. Chord! should to be the first app that appears in the App Store when you search “guitar”. Show more

This app is the best for so many reasons
The first thing that turned me onto this app is when I saw a Sweetwater music demonstration and I saw that you could do a reverse chord & scale search. That is invaluable for those of us who don’t have perfect knowledge of theory or have every chord and scale memorized. It is so immensely helpful when I write a riff (sometimes it’s some crazy jagged odd notes I add in for a color) and I can enter the notes into this app and have it not only tell me what scale it is but also easily see all the other notes connected across the neck. That’s not even really scratching the surface here though. You can also add extra strings to your virtual guitar so regardless of what tuning or how many strings you have (Bass/ or Guitar)it will accommodate you. You can view the notes across the piano or a guitar neck as well. I’m sure other reviewer‘s have more in depth reviews, but those are the things that were the dealbreaker for me and I wouldn’t wanna have to be without this application. Thank you to the developer????? Show more

    Fantastic!
Besides playing the guitar I play Charango, Ronroco, Vihuela and Cuatro. Finally found application that allows me to make my own custom stringed instruments tuned at my will and with how many strings you have it really finds all the chords! I strongly recommend it! Thanks for this gem! Show more

    Above and beyond
This isn’t some shallow theory/reference app, this is an incredible tool. The apps Depth and customization far exceeds its asking price. Highly recommend for any guitar or key player. Great for experimenting with chord progressions and matching scales. Wonderful app through and trough. Show more

    Read before buying.
In the ad video they showed what seemed like an audio playback from composed cord progressions and sadly it does not do this. It’s an alright tool. But they need to give a 7 day trial before asking you to pay. Show more

    Best App of It’s Kind
I’ve tried a bunch of apps that do this sort of thing and this is easily the best. You won’t be disappointed

Great App but does not sync
I have used this app for several years now and I love it. I love how I can transpose a song on the fly or modify the location of the chords. The issues I have found is the sync, and use of the app via family share, I share my apps purchased with my Wife and when I went to install on her iPad it is requiring me to purchase it again. But it says it is family share enabled. Show more
