I have been experimenting with DGCGCD tuning but could find very little online regarding chord shapes. This app enables me to quickly decipher what chords I am playing because of the customizable tuning. I’m anxious to see if the converse capability is there too (to show me the shapes for chords that I enter by name in any tuning). This is the only app that I have found can do this for completely customizable tunings! Show more

Thought this was supposed to help me transpose chords quickly. Can’t even understand what I’m looking at. Waste of $2.99.

For sometime this app had not been working correctly. But I just upgraded to an iPad Pro and came upon the app and discovered that it had been upgraded and works as it did when I first started using it. If you are a ‘hunt & peck’ player as I am (meaning I will occasionally find an unexpected chord voicing and I don’t know what it is) by plugging in the fingering on ‘Guitar Chord Cracker Pro’ the app will identify what the chord is. Love the app. It does everything it is listed to do. But I wish it did just a little bit more – especially chord progressions.

Doesn't work with new iOS slows everything down!

When I tried to input more complex chords, instead of giving me options, it just says "none" in the chord finder. I know the chord myself so it isn't simply not a chord. Don't waste your time with this app. Show more

Bravo! Love the app. I needed something when working with music theory where I could just key in fret locations for each chord. This does that perfectly, simple to use and detailed in its output! Show more

Not worth the effort of buying as likely you will almost immediately be deleting.

After many many apps, I have finally found the best tool for my guitar explorations. I love this app. Hands down the best. It is serving me well!!

As a player who plays in different tunings and with a capo a lot this is a very useful app. Capo charts don't always tell you the exact chord you play and this will fix that immediately. This is the perfect app and well worth the dollar I spent on it. Show more

Most colorful and useful tool for both Guitar and Uke. Had to check out every app to find a uke app with capture. Has a great feature in finding roots and chord structure. Great theory built in, but both lacking higher than 3rd fret database. Just shows blank without name. Only some work up there. Hope updates will include those. Also analysing individual notes could be improved. Strum field could lock up on the second strum so notes don't jump to top! Show more

I have been looking for chord charts for my baritone guitar. With this app I was able to drop the tuning down to standard baritone tuning of BEADF#B.

I downloaded this app thinking it was just another cheap-o guitar app that wasn't what I wanted, especially since it didn't have any reviews yet, but I was amazed!!! It's incredibly easy to use, if I'm jammin on my guitar and find a chord I really like I just go to this app and find out what it's called in 5 seconds. But it isn't just for this either, it has a chord dictionary by chord group containing literally thousands of different chords... This is worth way more than a dollar Show more

I love this app. I use it extensively when writing music, particularly when transcribing music written on guitar to piano. It is easy to use, accurate, and has loads of functionality. It keeps getting better every update. Keep up the good work! Show more

Device info: iPhone 4S, 64GB, AT&T, iOS 6.1.2, latest app revision: I just downloaded this for my son, who's learning guitar, so I hope this helps him! Just wanted to state that the app works just fine on my particular device, w/no crashing, lags or any of that. He will be using it on an iPod 4, 32GB, iOS 6.1.3, but hasn't installed it yet, or used it, obviously. Will update the review, and stars, with further info after he's tried it out! Keep your fingers crossed for me! (Me, as opposed to him, because I get him apps like this all the time, that he doesn't use, because he says they're "too hard" or over his ability level, so I'm hoping this one hits the mark!) This app was exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect for beginners and veteran guitarists alike. Very user friendly and easy to understand. Highly recommend this app!
