You have a bug on Ventura
Crashes anytime I try to convert the project to 48Hz when importing audio. You're screwing up a whole day's worth of editing, please fix!!!!!!!!

Major issues on Mac Studio - M1 Max
I bought an Mac Studio recently because in my head it was a no brainer being a profession audio engineer. Ya, BIG MISTAKE! Nothing but problems. System overloads, CPU spikes, it will just play the same second over and over and over again. Seriously regretting my choice! Show more

    pitch shifting
ive noticed for a while that certian instruments that came with logic cause the midi notes to change pitch. Ive done all i know to do to correct it. Its made the program virtually unusable. its such a disppointment. Show more

    Projects wont open
serious bug on M1 macs where the project wont open but things like VST plugins will. I can even play the tracks by pressing space bar but the window itself is nowhere to be found. Other projects wont even open at all. Incredibly frustrating and there are a lot worse words i want to use here after spending this amount of money for something that barely works Show more

    Simple and Great
For a DAW it's easy to use compared to the others. The UI is clean and the virtual instruments are great.

    No Brainer
Hands down the best bang for buck you can get in the DAW world. Great inteface to look at. Great amount of stock plugins that not only work well but sound well. I've used Pro Tools, Ableton and Studio One and for the money none of them come close to Logic. Show more

Difficult to use and seems buggy
I have 20 years of experience with DAW software ranging from old versions of pro tools to Digital Performer. D.P. was my program of choice and probably still will be. I tried jumping to Logic with a new laptop purchase. Logic is difficult to use. The editing features are clunky and seem to just sort of pick their own idea about what you want to do. Some times the edit apllies to the file selected and sometimes it seems to apply itself ato all the files in a song. No rhyme or reason why, just frustration.... The mixing functions seem to have the same problem. Sometimes you can mute a section on a single track then the next thing you know it applies to all the tracks and you can't single out any of them. Garbage as far as I'm concerned with all the time wasted being angry and trying to fight software. and not making music. Update to this review. 9/22/22 Months later and I'm still having issues with this program. It seems to randomly decide to change inputs and outputs when files are saved as well as just suddenly and randonmly group tracks together for no reason. . Today I used it to record drum tracks when all of a sudden it just changed all of the outputs and they can not be changed back. This is a broken program !! Stay away. You will end up frustrated and angry. Show more

    Search Bar for Plugins
Great program for professionals is absolutely fantastic. A little detail would make Logic even better. This is the ability to search for plugins in the search bar, that is, create such a search box right next to the list of plugins when you open plugins on the track Show more

    Superb VSTs and usability
I have been a hobbyist digital composer for a few years. I started on Sibelius but quickly ran into limitations of the software and switched to Reaper. Reaper is good, don't get me wrong, but something about Logic Pro just clicks with me where nothing before it ever had. I actually thought I forgot how to write music for 3 years but when I picked up the Logic Pro Trial I was able to craft incredible tracks once more. If you make music, you need Logic. Show more

    Unusable
It must have done an update and now it won't scan the audio units and is basically a $200 piece of junk. Looks like others are having issues and no developer responses. Show more

    total cost
Had the trial for 90 days was an awesome expirience. I ended buying Logic after my great usage of the trial. I am also only 16 yearls so I only had $206 in my account. Apple shows this as being $199.99. It ended up being $216 so I over did my account. All is ok though my mom isn't mad. Love logic. Show more

No longer supports OMF and crashes
I'm a professional video editor and audio mixer who's used Logic for years and have loved it. But now I go to import an OMF file and Logic greys out the file and won't open it. I tried exporting Final Cut XML from Adobe Premiere but that crashes Logic when I try to import it. With these massive downgrades, Logic has gone from a professional grade DAW to no more worthwhile than GarageBand. If Apple isn't going to fix this, then I want a refund. What I purchased was a professional DAW, and that's no longer what Logic is. Show more

    Excellent DAW
There is no denying Logic Pro X is an excellent DAW. Having been forced to use it for school for the last twelve months I have gone from loathing it to enjoying my time with it. If this is the first DAW you purchase and plan on learning throughougly this is an excellent starting point as it is already industry standard. If you are already used to another DAW such Cake-walk, FL Studio, Ableton, or Studio One it will take some time to adjust to the new work flow and some of the interface/functions can be a bit unintuative, however, if you stick with it you will find a powerful and versatile piece of music production software. It makes scoring to picture a breeze and mixing in dolby/surround sound is simple and very intuitive. The one genre I would caution new uesrs againts making in Logic is EDM. Logic makes it extremely difficult to produce Electronic Dance Music, there is no snap to grid on the automation curves and the way it handles selection automation perameters in 3rd party VST's baffles me. You would have a much easier time starting out in FL-Studio or Ableton Live with EDM production, Logic will likely stiffle your creativity as an EDM producer if you've never opened a DAW before. No input source selected!
I just keep getting the error "No input source selected!" - I'm on a new M1 with the latest Mac OS. If I restart, it goes away - for a a short while. Then it comes back. Program is unusable. Thumbs down. Show more

    Disk Too Slow
My 2019 MacBook pro (8gb memory) and 2019 iMac (64g Memory) struggles with Logic. After 12.5 update it has gotten even worse. I run the logic as efficiently as possible and I keep getting disk to slow or increase buffer size but to no avail. All thsi is happening while doing simple tasks. Show more

I bought a M2 Macbook Air 2022 and it still crashes
It would have a higher rating if you fix the crashing of the software. it is really annoying.
