This review is primary for the UI: For a while there (2019) your app the best content and the absolutely worst design! ;-) You guys made it way too flat and abstract. I know that’s trendy, but not everyone likes flat abstract design; for example, the channel intensity picker disappeared and the “controls” were only a play button. The channel picker was like a tiny ghost you couldn’t see. Now the intensity picker is back, there’s a pause, play/stop, and skip; the channel picker is also bigger. It’s still too flat and abstract for my tastes (for example, I loved the 2013-2015 design), but the content is amazing, and that’s what’s important. It puts me in the work zone. I don’t have ADD, but I use this to focus anyway, 100% natural. Thanks for creating this great service. Show more

I love this app and purchased the lifetime subscription.

Originally i found the app doing a personal research into productivity and attention in preparation to start a PHD program. But now i also use it for various work tasks and even during gym workouts. The best advise i got was to leverage the app along with good headphone, and my other learning is to practice training yourself to enter flow. It is a skill. The app is a great aid. Show more

The pricing is hidden. There is no clear way to cancel during the trial period.

App crashes constantly. On 1 gig internet and latest iPhone pro. But it crashes. Lifetime member. What a waste of money. This app has been totally abandoned by developers. Gets update maybe once a year just to show it’s still accepting money from people. Show more

The website told me the free trial will begin when i subscribe and that i can cancel the subscription within the first week or two(hence free trial because im supposed to get my money back) but nope. I signed up using the link that was supposed to give me a free trial but it turns out, when i subscribed expecting 14 free days of use, it just gave me the original instant payment. Didnt refund when i canceled it. Now I have a full year of subscription that I dont want. Give my money back then maybe i might give 4 stars. Show more

Please: if you suffer from ADHD or just need stimulation to focus at hand: try this app!! I first found F@W 7 or so years ago through recommendation from family member. I am the type who - because of my diagnosis - cannot focus without stimulation (usually coffee shop with headphones). This app, though, had allowed me that external stimulation in the comfort of my own home. The science behind the app (in semi-layman’s terms found on the portal) makes me feel that I’m in good competent hands. Good competent hands two fold. The support system is hands down the best I’ve experienced throughout the tenure as an Apple owner. Kristi is fantastic. Oh and PS: Uptempo for life! Show more

While I enjoy streaming the chill music to focus while working on my desktop AND via the mobile app, the iOS app will reset the whole session/song anytime there is an interruption in playback: my AirPod pops out, you get a call, etc. Their support people just say that is by design and you should start a brand new season with ANY interruption. Give me a break - let ME be the judge of how I work best and let me continue my “flow” if I want - this happens all the time: 1. great music playing 2. Phone call comes in 3. New song starts completely different tempo and ruins my flow! This is the first time I’ve found a company arrogant enough to flat out admit the won’t put in an easy feature since they know better.
