I’ve been playing drums for a while, but admit that I hate how they sound as I’m just not very good at tuning. No one notices the sound as being bad, but I do. I purchased the app in hopes to help makes things a bit easier. I worried about seeing some bad reviews, but tried anyway. I looked and learned my way around the app and learned how to tune, but did t really know what frequencies/notes to use for each of my three toms, snare, and kick. I messaged the app and inquired about some tips about notes to use. Within a half hour the developer, Bram, had written me a long message and gave me some great tips! This is helping me get my once “difficult to get to sound even decent ” kit, sounding great! I had some hiccups (user error) and thought there was something wrong with the app so I emailed tech. Not only did I hear back quickly, the reply was extremely thorough and helpful. We have gone back and forth now numerous times, the support has been well above and beyond. The app won’t tune your drums for you but honestly will make you better at it because it really demystifies what’s going on. Highly recommend the company and this app. Show more

Why is the frequency range for a Tom limited? I tunes a 12” Tom to 138Hz and tried to store that, 131 is the highest range allowed. That’s not an unusually high pitch. Show more

The kit presets do not seem to work.

I’ve been planning it since the 90s and have always turned my drums by ear. In the beginning it was a struggle. But in time I begin to learn what I needed to do. The first time I used the app I found its guidance taking me right to where my ears would have lead me. The final outcome was a drum that sounded as good as, if not better than I would have turned it by ear in the past. Being able to check each lug really speeds up the process of determining who needs the attention. I only had time the first day for one drum. I cannot wait to finish the rest of my kit! Oh… one more thing. The support. Incredible! Did not see my 80’s Tama Power Metal brass snare in the list of available snares so I sent a message asking if it mattered what I used. Got a quick reply with the news my snare would be available later that day. And it was! Thanks Bram! Show more

Two 5 min YouTube videos and 30min worth of tuning and my drums have never sounded better. It almost feels like magic. Great job, great app

It took me a while to figure out how to use it but once you get it it’s extremely useful. It very accurate and once you get it you will be able to tune your drums very quickly. All my drums sound amazing now! Show more

Hit it one time and it shows correct pitch. Hit it again and it shows complete different pitch, if I could get my money back I would. ? very disappointed.

Pretty much everything about this app is great as far as the organization of your various drums and their settings/intervals. However, the actual tuning function is useless for me. I tap near a lug and the app says I’m -7Hz, tap again in the same location with the same force and it says +21Hz, tap again -6Hz, tap again +18Hz... I’ve watched every single video and read the tips, but nothing I try will allow me to consistently tune any of my drums. Oh well, I will still use the app because I like how I can catalog my drums and store their preferred settings. But for the actual tuning I will have to find another solution. Update: Developer has since uploaded extra training videos and I feel more confident in the app’s ability to accurately tune. The more I use the app the better I understand how it responds to tuning and overtones, etc. Although I do wish the app had the ability to detect wild pitch readings between hits and perhaps pop up with potential reasons/solutions for the readings.
