I don't write many reviews, but this app has saved me $40 and works so easily that I couldn't NOT leave a review! I have a YAS-600 that I bought a few years ago and have no idea where the remote is - and a replacement is $36-40! Randomly typed in YAS-600 into the app store and this (sadly, poorly reviewed) app popped up! Let the app use bluetooth on my phone and it automatically connected to my sound bar and JUST WORKED! Ignore issues that it won't connect. You need to know how to connect to it once and done. Never once had an issue once the phone is connected to my sound bar. Show more

I just bought a total of 3 sound bars. This app does not work well at all. I didn't even think to check ratings before ordering one for each room of the house. If it is not fixed soon so I can update my firmware I will be returning all my yamaha sound equipment. Expected more from a name like Yamaha. Bummed. Show more

Even using my iPhone to play music via Bluetooth, the app is stuck in Demo Mode 99/100 times I try using it.

iOS updates 2 times, and you guys have not updated. Why??? You don’t care????

I’ve had my Yamaha sound bar for a year now and the app drives me nuts. Every time I try to use, it does not sync. I have disconnect/connect several times before it finally syncs and gets out of the demo mode. Needs to be improved! Show more

Underdeveloped product.

Downloaded to retrieve my firmware version for the 1080. Does not tell me my product info

Plz fix it

At first I thought this was a big improvement over the remote that came with the sound bar. As I used it I found that if I left a screen and returned the settings would return to what they were before I changed them. The power off does not turn off the sound bar nor is there a way to turn it on with this app. I still need to use the other remote. The only real benefit to the app is that you can see a visual confirmation of your settings while using the remote that came with the sound bar. Show more

Yamaha could fix this but they don’t care. As soon as I can I’m going to switch due to the inconvenience.

Constantly giving issues and crashing.

Does exactly what I want it to do... control/see the volume, switch setting/inputs. That’s all I need it to do and it does it. Just downloaded the app and connected to the soundbar via Bluetooth. Show more

Only works in demo mode now use to shut down app and restart but that don’t work now

I thought this app wasn’t going to work based on previous reviews. These people must not have gone to college. App works fine

And now there is one leas feature for the sound-bar. I would have gone with the BOSE sound-bar if I had known that the app would not work.

Just got this Yamaha front surround sound at Costco for two weeks. tried using remote that came with surround sound. I found it that it has a lag when I press volume or any of it’s features. Decided to download app, it’s been fine so far. Show more

This app is terrible. It doesn’t even work half of the time. It shuts off and does not connect to to the speaker
