plz help me i updated my computer and now garageband isn't in my apps :( and i cant download it from the app store either because it says i have to update again (i will not do this) can anyone help me please? :( how do i download an earlier version of the app? :( Show more

i believe it is one of the best ways to make your song, and the coolest. like why wouldn't you buy this. its just perfect for making a soundtrack

the app is so good i love all of the fechers there are so meny cool things that are so fun i can here all of the old and new songs that i made i love the app. it si the best app ever so if you dont get it you are missing out. from me you wold love this app to so please get the app i am so imprest with this app. Show more

With plenty of rezources remaining on my RAM and HDD, the program can not take more than three tracks receiving MIDI without skipping, cracking, jumping and completely screwing up. I can't even get them to play back smoothly. About as frustrated with this ap as I could be at this juncture. two stars because it would be amazing... if they got thie ish together. Show more

For some reason I cant even play back audio from a voice recording when im tryna fowward it. Hopefully it gets fixed and I will change my review

This is a fun way to mess around but it's impossible to use it as a legit digital audio workstation. For example, if you have a stereo recording and you want to pan to the center to make it less wide, this is impossible in Garageband. You can't split the stereo into mono tracks, you can't adjust it at all. You can't decode mid-side stereo. All you can do in Garageband is play with the Garageband audio toys and loop beats. People have been complaining about the inability to convert stereo to two mono tracks for over a decade, it's an extraordinarily basic simple feature, and they refuse to do anything about it. Not working. Somthing about infomation

WOW!!! This is amazing! I feel like I could make a thousand songs in one sitting with all of the audio files and instruments in one tiny box on the side of the screen. Just Drag & drop, too! No need to do anything complicated when it is the best App to download for music production, And it's FREE, too!! There are no issues with this either! it is fun and easy, and in just about 2 minutes you already have some fire beats (And really good bass, Synths, Hi-hats, etc.)! I really enjoy using this and I am excited for any future updates! ? Show more

The latest update has completely broken this and Logic Pro for me. They both were working great before I updated. I've delted and reinstalled both multiple times and they still crash at open. Apple tech support is slow and can;t figure it out either. To make matters worse there's no way to go back to the previous install since Apple thinks they can do no wrong. Good thing I have Ableton 11 and a lot of new space on my M1 Mac. Ableton actually responds fast and fixes things. Apple just blames everyone else when they make a mistake that crushes years of work. Nice job Tim! Apple is the new Microsoft. Pushing out broken releases and failing to fix them isn't a good business model. Show more

Spent all day working on a project in Garbageband [sic] until I pressed the wrong key on my keyboard and deleted all my recordings. GB file was still there, tracks were still there, but all recordings were gone. "Can't undo." "Can't redo." Why is there a button to wipe your project in the first place? And why can't it be undone? Why isn't this addressed on Apple's support page? I used to like Garbageband. It's missing basic functions you would expect in a DAW, but I thought it was good enough for something included with the macbook. I was wrong. My problem should have been solved with a simple cmd-z. Instead I have to start from scratch. Then again what should I expect from a company that engineers its $1k phones to break and go obsolete? Show more

The application doesn't start after the update. Dissapointment.

Needs an update with the current song packs, otherwise it's a five star all day long.

I've noticed that the iOS version of GarageBand seems to get new features more quickly than the desktop version. In particular, the fantastic Sound Packs which are downloadable and can be managed within the GB app on iOS makes custominzing one's setup quite a bit nicer and more efficient. Please look at adding a true sound pack managing tool to the desktop or allow users to click a box so there is instant parity between iOS and macOS setups. Also, something which has been a major pain point between moving projects which start on iOS and then are finished on macOS is the fact that none of the plugins used in projects are able to retain their settings and every numeral, knob adjustment and patch must be manually duplicated in order to final the project. This is a big time waster and it makes starting projects on iOS less attractive. I've achieved almost total parity between plugins on iOS and plugins on macOS, but developers have told me that due to the limitations they have available to them when designing their plugins, it is not possible for the settings to "travel" with the GB file when it is brought into macOS. If this could be solved by Apple, working with the developers, this would be a massive improvement. Thank you! Show more

This app is the best for making music. At first I thought this was a very complicated app, but slowly it became really easy. The second thing I want to mention is that no matter what you make, garage band still has a way of backing you up. I use this app on my ipad, and its way much more simple on my ipad but still great app. :)) Show more

I can't play back and tried everything!

application stops responding when launching on my intel macbook pro from 2019. macos up to date, 12.6, garageband up to date. have tried removing and re-installing but issue remains please help Show more

I can't download the regular garageband that I had. The version on there now won't work
