Classes are random and teaching style varies from class to class. It really lacks structure. Music Theory isn’t a real focus. I’m canceling after my year subscription is up. I just feel the curriculum is sloppy and I haven’t gotten much out of it. A lot of the teachers talk at you like you’re supposed to know the terminology and most of the visual reference is subpar. They don’t really break it down in a easy way to understand. It’s easy to become confused. I feel like the app and its catalog of random how to videos are targeted more towards intermediate players, and not so much beginners to mid range. There are better articulated music lesson programs out there that are easier to understand. Show more

As a person whose learning guitar rather late this is the simplest and funniest (personally) way to lean guitar this is by far the only app that I actually like that actually teaches me guitar! 10/10 love it ❤️❤️❤️ Show more

Always says “can’t load musician profile “ which is sad because I was looking forward to taking master classes

This really is a great app for learning guitar. Some of the courses can be a little expensive but if you wait you can find some good ones on sale. I would’ve subtracted only half a star if I could but the app can be a little slow or buggy but it’s not a real big issue. I missed the 14 day free trial that would’ve been nice to try out some of the courses. Kudos to the team. Show more

Much better than any other guitar learning apps I’ve used.

I have tried to cancel this subscription but seem unable to do as I am being billed. I used the apple subscription site and unsubscribed but apparently it didn’t work.

If you use this app to learn guitar… better not log out… for 29.00 a month you can get your lessons about one time. When you come back … your a free student again and they want you to pay for the classes… on top of the access. Total rip off! Show more

…because the iPad app keeps freezing and freezing…

I frequently have to restart the app just to get content to work. Absolutely love the instruction, but I have to use my desktop most of the time.

The lessons outlines, material covered, and instructors are world class and worth the money. My issues are with the player. Video streaming has been around awhile and TrueFire competitors have it dialed in. You app and browser based players freeze, need to be restarted, and often just crash. Do your instructors and students Justice and invest in improving your streaming interfaces. Show more

I’m a drummer who always wanted to play something melodic. The app helped me learn how to play the bass. The lessons are really good and much cheaper than in person instruction. Show more
