Used to love this app but crashes instantly after recent update. Now useless

So far, this is the BEST Mellotron App I have ever tried out! I think this instrument should have MORE Mellotron & Chamberlin Samples such as the Chamberlin Harp Solo, Harp 7th Arpeggio, and Harp Rolls, More Mellotron Moving Strings Sounds, Mellotron Artist Sounds such as the Yes 2 Violins, Yes Arpeggio Violins, Roxy Music I & II Sounds, More Mellotron Rhythm & Fills, etc. Show more

Sounds terrible

Doesn’t seem to work with iPhone 8 - distorted, and doesn’t respond to any kind of output adapter.

The distortion is as loud as the instruments. Yay have fun with my money! On iPhone 7s; iOS 11.1.2 If this is fixed, I’d be more than happy to revise my review. Show more

Audio is distorted

The sounds are great, but not being able to play using an external keyboard via midi pretty much renders the instrument useless.

On iOS 10.3.3 (iPhone 6sPlus) the sound is badly distorted both through the internal speaker and through headphones, no matter what volume the app or phone is set to.

I was very excited to see the new version released because the potential for this app is huge. However, I was very disappointed to learn the audio output continues to be distorted. Show more

The sound stopped working for me after a few weeks and I get a message saying the developers need to update. Total waste of money.

It's not the M400, nor theM4000D or even G-Force's MTron Pro. But if you have other software and hardware synths and want to infuse your track with vintage flavor (or put up a vintage flavored tree), this cheap little vst has all the ornaments and trimmings you need (basic as they are) to make it sparkle. Not a bad synth if all you need are the most popular Mellotron and Chamberlain tape-presets. #~ I would like to add that I agree with other reviewers that it needs midi implementation so it can be controlled externally. Also a plug-in option and DAW integration would be nice. I can use it as an external sound module fed into my DAW but that's a bit of a hassle. Show more

While I understand people's request for midi, etc, this is an $8 app for crying out loud! I used this all over the Ghosts of Vinyl album and it sounds great. Great job guys and thanks for a VERY cheap (affordable) way to get Mellotron sounds. Show more

Etreaz is right, I had this app on my iPhone 5s and it worked perfect. But now on my iPhone 6s, the sound is awful because of some weird distortion. Please fix this!!! This is my favorite app of all time and I need it working for my next record! Show more

Great sounds, but really should be MIDI capable.

I have owned several original Mellotrons in my life including a very rare dual keyboard Mellotron Mark V. After talking with people involved in the company currently the one thing we all want which is to be able to play this app from a real keyboard via MIDI will never happen because they want us to buy the two digital versions of the Mellotron. Which for me isn't an option now or probably anytime in the near future due to the cost of several thousand dollars. Sure I'd love an M4000 D but since I paid eight bucks for an app that basically is a toy since I can't control it from Midi controller like all my other vintage apps, iMini, iSEM, iProphet, Waldorf Nave I'm very disappointed. i'm still using one of my emu system's digital samplers and the CD ROM of Melachaw and sounds triggering it from a keyboard it would be so convenient to be able to have my Akai Synthstation controller/iPad dock control this app. Show more

Love the idea, but sound on 6s is crazy distorted. Needs to be fixed. Pretty much unusable in the current state.

I loved this app when I had the iPhone 5, but now, the sound is distorted since upgrading to the 6S. Please fix! I loved emulating the sounds of the Moody Blues. Show more

This sounded fantastic on my 5S, but since upgrading to 6S+, I now know what the users mean: the distortion is incredible, and not in the good way. Pleeeeeease update this, the app is too good! Show more

Sound is distorted with iPhone 6S/iOS 9. Needs to be updated.

Great app. Would of gotten 5 stars with MIDI support.
