EDIT: This last update seems to fix many of the app’s issues, where I’m not losing scrobbles often if ever. But for some reason there’s now another crucial missing feature that seems to be removed for no obvious reason? There used to be a way to scrobble using the album artist, and now there isn’t a way. All of those featured tracks are messing with the way my library is tracked. Along with having to constantly reset the app, I don’t understand why it always seems to be two steps forward, one step back. This app’s success relies on accurate scrobbling, and it shouldn’t be too difficult to ensure that works, right? Very strange choices. *** The developer chose to rely on background refreshing, which doesn’t always work. Apparently a manual option used to be available but is no longer for some odd reason? If you’re meticulous about your scrobbles, I wouldn’t waste your time on this app. It’s a good price, but there doesn’t seem to be urgency to fix any of its design problems. Show more

QuietScrob used to log every song you listened to on Apple Music since you last opened the app. After the recent update that changed the UI, you must keep the app open in the background for any tracks to be scrobbled. Few weeks out now, some tracks are not logged even with the app open and background refreshing on. UPDATE: The app works as intended now, however it brought my remaining scrobbles (I had unlimited) down to 0 and forced me to pay another $5. Suspect at the very least, scummy at worse. i’ve been using this app for about 5 years and it’s worked near flawlessly the entire time. there’s an occasional missed scrobble, but i find it to be fairly accurate when comparing to my apple music plays. the new update allowing for scrobbling of non-library tracks is game changing. definitely worth the cost of the paid version. The app has had a rough patch or two. But it’s working great again.

Really, I don’t know why the developer decided to do so many unnecessary changes in an app that was working so perfectly. Dark mode? That was the only thing needed, but now after this ugly change the app is no longer Scrobbling anything from my personal library out of spotify (that’s the only reason I paid for this app…). to be honest, I never cared having to do that manually because not even this I can do anymore. P.s: I wish I could have my money back or downgrade it… Show more

Ever since the app updated and added the automatic refresh feature I’ve been having problems. I lose so many Scrobbles as it often won’t update. I hope this can be fixed. The app used to run so smoothly before. Show more

Works well with no fuss. And has the option to scrobble by album artist, rather than the multiple artists that can be listed on a single track. Developer is responsive to support requests. Show more

It works for songs in your library, so I pretty much need to add the album to my library and then delete it if it wasn’t good.

Sometimes it doesn’t record my listing history

…but since the update it continually loses scrobbles. It also doesn’t allow for you to refresh and have it search for previous plays. I have no idea why they “updated” the app and basically made it non-functional when it was working well to begin with. Show more

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years already without issue…until now. Not sure what happened with the recent updates, but it’s made this app useless. I’ll be dropping this for a different scrobbler. Show more

Latest updates have almost completely ruined functionality. The app never needed to be left running in the background before, and could pick up scrobbles easily upon being opened and manually refreshed. Now, it's essentially a gamble if tracks will be scrobbled at all, even if all of the app instructions are followed. Considering searching for a new mobile scrobbler because QuietScrob essentially feels like it's self-destructed. No one asked for a new 'minimal' UI with rounded corners; all we need is a scrobbler that actually does what it claims to, and reliably. Show more

This app was working perfectly, but this update has messed everything up. Been scrobbling since 2009 so this is a big disappointment.

Not sure what’s up but it seems like it won’t scrobble while backgrounded at all any more and doesn’t “catch up” on backgrounded plays like it did previously? Kind of unusable as is, I’ll look elsewhere if it persists. The new UI is nice fwiw. Show more

Latest update removed manual scrobbles and only accepts background scrobbles. The only way I found for this to work is to have my iTunes open first THEN open this app. This was never an issue before. And even then sometimes it doesn’t even scrobble anything even if my iTunes is playing music for hours. When it works it’s doesn’t work well and when it doesn’t it’s broken. I hope dev would just revert these awful changes. Show more

Since the update no longer scrobbles all songs. Just random ones. Huge bummer.
