This is my favorite music app! I love it!!! It’s fun and entertaining, and I love making music with it. I’m downloading it on all of my devices that’s how much I love it! I have an old nook don’t know if anyone knows what that is nowadays, but it’s a really slow and old version of and iPad. None of my games work on it except for this one, so thanks! Leaned about the app. from our 7 year old grandson. Lots of fun to engage in with him. Not a "game"; you can take turns creating music or create music together. Show more

Kept my 7 yr old nephew totally engaged for over an hour making music. Would get 5 stars if it weren't for the broken sharing and "for parents..." features, which currently do nothing but take you back to the previous menu. Show more

Great app to learn music in a fun and easy way!

This app gave me so much inspiration for becoming a composer. I am nearly heart-broken that I deleted the app and lost pieces of music that were truly wonderful (probably only to me). If only I could get them back. Other than that, this app is really fun, and is very easy to learn to use. Show more

I love this app and have been using it with my music students but ever since I've updated to IOS 8.4 the app is non reactive to my touch. The metronome keeps going but none of the other buttons respond whatsoever. Someone please help, I've tried reloading the app multiple times but nothing helps. Show more

My kids and I have spent several evenings in a row with this app. We take turns adding instruments, experimenting with different sounds and pitches and have made lots of fun (and sometimes noisy!) songs. The kids love to play them back and dance along. This app works for just about any level of music knowledge and is very flexible. Very nice! Show more

Sketch-a-Song is an amazing tool for bringing out the composer in anyone! It looks great, sounds great, and makes sense for users of all ages and ability levels.

I was testing this out before giving it to my nephew, which of course, judging by my rating, went really well. This is a great tool for learning the basics of music creation packaged in an easy-to-follow format. Love it. Show more

It's really easy to figure out how the app works and it's fun to make songs

I downloaded this for my 11 year old niece and she loves it! It was super easy for her to figure out and when we are in the car she loves making up songs for me and playing them back. I love how creative it lets her be, and how entertaining it is! Show more

I definitely wish I had this when I was a kid. It took me 5 minutes to make an awesome song! This is the way music education should be taught.

Super intuitive and a pleasure to "sketch" out simple grooves. A pleasure to play with. It's rare to find a high quality free app with no ads or gimmicks. Altruistic devs ftw, highly recommend. Show more
