    iPhone X
App isn’t working for me. Music isn’t playing and when I tap it the bubble turns black. This app seems really cool and I’d really like to use it. Please fix it so that people who have an X can use it. Show more

Really wanted to like this app
I truly wanted to like this app. It has a lot of the features of an app I loved that is no longer supported by its creator and so it no longer works with the latest iOS. So I have this a try. And all it does is crash. I was able to launch the app after just one or two crashes when I first downloaded it and it would stay open. Now? I haven't been able to get the app to stay open in months. I finally deleted it today. What use is an app that won't actually open? Sorry guys. I tried but no go. Show more

Very cool, but missing key features.
Title. Such as: ~Deleting, creating, and editing playlists. ~Up next. ~Selecting a speaker/AirPlay device from within the app. (Still possible through Control Center, of course.) ~Adding/removing music to/from your library. ~Sharing playlists & artists (sharing songs is possible, just not playlists or artists) ~It doesn't seem to sync with your own Apple Music radios. Rather, it presents you with it's own $3-a-month subscription radio service (7-day free-trial). All or most of this should be possible with MusicKit, as I understand. But, maybe I shouldn't talk; I'm not a developer. Apart from all that, it really is a nice interface. A very well done to those who designed, and implemented it. That ripple effect on pause/play is absolutely wonderful. Many thanks for that reverse-control option! Some personal requests: ~Album artwork next to songs (for example: when scrolling through a playlist). A bit of a must for me, as I have some large playlists spanning many albums. Having that visual aid is extremely helpful (almost essential) when I look for a particular song. A little orb instead of Apple's square, perhaps? I'd love that. ~Not sure if it is, but would it be possible to reorder playlist circles? As it stands, I have to scroll over a ways to get to my most-played playlist. Adding this would relieve a long-felt headache that Apple's own music app has saddled me with. If not, ah well. ~Another feature I so wish Apple's music player had: a quick-scroll bar for playlists. (Not sure what exactly that'd be called, but basically a scroll bar that you can slide up and down, taking you to a corresponding place in the playlist.) Would help hugely with my big playlists. All in all, I think I'm going to keep using it. Really, I'd say 3.8/5 stars, but, its missing functionalities just can't get a four out of me... Here's hoping it becomes the replacement for Apple's music app I've always dreamed of! The foundation is certainly there. Good job devs, keep at it, I say. Show more

Used to be great; crashes all the time
Title says it all. Listen fails to open and crashes about 90% of the time.

    Amazing and simple
Stunning app with logical gestures, which makes it fast and comfortable to use, however this app does not have an Equalizer (EQ) so you get what you get on the recording and can not correct for the speaker deficiencies. Show more

    Shuffle features need some work
With shuffle activated, the app doesn’t allow for selecting a new song to play (though swiping to play the next song in the lineup still works). You have to deactivate shuffle, and then may select a new song. Sometimes tapping a song in a playlist will start the playback of a completely different song. And if you have “shake to shuffle” turned on and shake while playing a playlist, the app switches the lineup to the entire library on the phone, rather than staying in that playlist. It’s a very visually appealing app, and the gesture controls are nice, but the shuffle design isn’t for me. Show more

Beautiful but browsing for songs is awful
Beautiful interface and I love the color changes depending on the album artwork but browsing for music in your own library is tedious. You can either type in a search for specific song or artist or you have to scroll through your entire library. It’s a tremendous pain. Instead of the bubbles with the artist names in them I would like to see bubbles with the alphabet that then can expand to the artists names. The app also seems to be very buggy. I can use it fine for a day or so and then it locks up or crashes upon starting. Even if I restart my phone it will do the same every time. I’m using an iPhone 7 with the latest iOS. Then after a period of time it will work fine for a little while until it starts to crash again. Show more

Browsing for music needs work... a lot of work
Two features I really like — gesture controls and disable auto-lock. The biggest drawback is finding your tunes. That part is just horrendous. You either type a search (which kind of defeats the point of gesture controls) or you scroll A LOT. The giant bubbles for artist name or playlist are just too big. There is no way to jump to, say, albums starting with M. If you’ve selected an artist, albums are listed in test, not displayed with album covers. I’m finding it much easier to select what I want to play in the Music app and then switch to Listen for controls while in the car. Show more

Really great app for just listening to music
If you have Apple Music or iTunes songs on your iPhone, this app will work great. It gives you a really clean and fluid interface that no other music app offers. What it basically does is play your music from the Apple Music app but displays what's playing from the interface. It's kind of like a remote but feels like a music streaming app in itself. You can just set it and forget it which is really easy. I definitely rate 5 stars and recommend to anyone who wants a clean and easy music app. Show more

Potential is there, but it is a trainwreck for now
This is a very attractive application, but the song selection just doesn't work properly when shuffle is on. I'll pick one song in a playlist, and a completely different one will play. Also, there is sometimes a glitch where shuffle can't be toggled without going back to Apple's music app and changing it there. I love the menus and gesture controls, but I have some suggestions that I think would only improve the app once the devs figure out the song selection bug. 1. The most important thing is customization. I would like my app to always open up to the Playlists tab. I never play music from Albums or Artists, and I don't know a single person who uses a radio other than spotify, so being able to get rid of those menu options entirely would declutter the app for me. If someone actually uses only Albums or Artists though, then they should be able to get rid of the Playlists tab. 2. When you are viewing the player itself while a song is playing, it would be nice to always see the volume level and the option to toggle repeat and shuffle. Their positioning is already at the top of the screen which is nice, because it means that anywhere under it can be tapped to pause/play. We don't need the entire screen to be pause/play. 3. I control my "loved" songs through iTunes already, so having the option to get rid of the Love playlist would be nice. Also, I wish I could sort playlists by name OR manually. 4. When the app is forced closed, the music should stop playing. I want to shove my Music app into a corner where I'll never have to touch it again, but when force close doesn't turn off music, I have to reopen either Listen or the Music app and do it manually. I really want this to be my daily Music app, but there are just too many glitches and inconveniences for it to beat out Apple's music app. Show more

    Very clean
Excellent smooth design, much better than the Apple Music app.

    So far, so good
One crucial tab/option for me that's missing is genres. Please add that.
