As someone whose owned the new and old electribes and the Volca samplers etc, I Can say this swing is on this app is kinda weak It seems like it only affects the Metronome not the actual sequence itself, which is cool if your using a metronome but idk hopefully they give that a tune up. I recently re-purchased this app after a four year hiatus and have to say Korg knew how to make this App a lot of Fun. It inspires me to write songs on my other hardware instruments And is always a blast to create new beats. A few things though. A lot of the gadget sounds are repetitive from gadget to gadget. I would like to see more organic sounding gadgets. I think Roland XM Junos had super realistic guitar strumming sounds you could control by using the expression wheels. Something like this or a programmable Arpeggio tool would make this app stellar, but it is fun. I also bought the NanoKey and that makes it awesome too, but would love to have more control of the app with the nanoKey. Show more

I’ve always loved playing with this App. It really does wonders for Electronic music. I only have 1 Idea that I think would be cool,… and make it even more awesome. It would be nice if you guys would create a gadget exclusively for running vocals through … think about it you could add sampling , a doubler effect , a built in noise gate. .. well it’s just an idea …send me the check if you use it ,..l.o.l. The second time I’ve had to write about this program, I can’t resist praising it. They are so ON with the legendary Korg sounds, super awesome layout and superb functionality, I just hope they stay right where they are with the design concept. Please continue to moving forward, the future of music production is here, now and has never been better! Can’t wait to see what they’ll do next! July 21, 2019: Still totally in love with Korg Gadget 2 progression. Thee most beautiful music app on iOS ever. Every time I get a new gadget it surprises me! The sounds in these modules are so inspiring. I need one more drum module that I can directly sample into with filters and such. Not that I don’t love the Recife and LONDON already! Audio recording needs only a few more editing functions, should be on the way I hope. ?? I’m so blown away by the design of the modules that I just had to say something about it one more time. The attention to detail are so accurately nice. For example, the shine of the piano’s ebony lacquer luster is awesome. Some modules even have finger prints on them entailing their use. The graphic artist here are awesome. Now I realize all of this would be irrelevant if the app didn’t sound great, but it does! So the graphics makes it just that more of a plus. You guys are fantastic! This app plain and simple is all about production. No hidden menus to discover or uncover. Just straight forward production. You think it, find or be inspired by the sound content and produce. If it’s taking you forever to put something together,...it’s your fault! This is a no nonsense approach to what producers want and It can only get better! Ok, as stated before, love Korg Gadget 2. But my only gripe right now is, Enough with the Sound Packs Please! Most will already have quite a library already to work with. How about getting back to app development. I mean, there is some room for improvement if you’re expecting to maintain a loyal following. Competition out here is getting stiff and I dowant to see Korg fall off or get left behind in the app graveyard. Thanks. Show more

Update: a General MIDI pack? Disappointing. Dear Korg, Please add some new modules (software Volcas maybe?). Stop with the sound packs from module pro. Gadget is really a 5-star app, but I’m hoping this will get your attention that it needs a refresh and don’t abandon it like some of your other apps. Thanks. Show more

It’s still one of the best as far as IPad apps go but it’s getting stale, we haven’t had any new feature updates in over a year.

Title tells it all. A truly wonderful, multi-faceted app which would be almost perfect if you could connect live with AUM etc.

Great app! BUT the file management is TRASH. I deleted duplicate files and it deleted the main ones too! Excuse me...

Intuitive, powerful app. Great for picking it up and making music wherever you go. One thing that's come up recently though....I can't find the sound sample store within the app for the life of me. There one day and gone the next, doesn't detract from the app at all, but it's driving me crazy all the same. Show more

Gadget we need au host capabilities needs to become an Audio-unit host and or inter app or anything on the iPad including video . What are you waiting for Korg!? We need an update immediately! And host capabilities is at the top of the list . Oh and a “real “ percussion” gadget sampler “ that actually samples directly into itself using a microphone and an editing tool to chop them up in the iPad or an external device . It’s a little spaz sometimes and there’s still a couple things I can’t figure out, but this f-tard is a beast. You can put together some solid beats pretty quick.

The best all in one music app on iOS… period.

By far the most productive I have ever been in almost 30 years of writing music. The workflow is simple and quick and the gadgets are top quality for their complexity. If I had one major critique, it’s that the iCloud file system could be a little more robust. I had built up a nice file structure for some Bilbao samples in my iCloud and discovered that gadget wouldn’t actually see the samples until I imported them from within the app, essentially making duplicates in the cloud. Other than that, would love to see a Triton gadget (I know there’s a sound pack in module, but it’s not the same) Show more
