This did not work for me. I'm sure it works great but the MP4 music files I had were protected unknown to me and I couldn't convert them.

I've converted over 20,000 files, so I've ran this app through it's paces. It works and all, but boy does it have annoying issues. The first issue is that the little tip bubbles reset all the time. So when you open up the app every other time the tips will pop up explaining what each feature does. You can't even disable the tips... The app bounces in the dock if you haven't used it in a while. For no reason it will bounce up and down. The worst issue is that it adds its own metadata to your files. Of course the developers metadata editor is another paid app. There needs to be an option do disable it from adding it. Who wants 5 additional lines of metadata with the same information and a link back to Amvidia. Disgusting. Show more

The constant pop up helper hints are truly irritating, and there doesn't seem to be a way to turn them off. I also find myself annoyed by how the app incessantly tries to sell you on buying a tag editor. Will keep using until I find a more elegant solution. Show more

Downloaded and paid just because I figure I'd go with such a high rating app. My rating is based on it not working on wma files. It distorted the sound. I removed all filters or changes and had it do the bare bones all the way to trying to use defaut settings and it didn't work. :( Show more

I have 3 large binders of CD's that I almost forgot about. MP3 converter has made the archiving simpler and easy to work with. I really like this app and it works as advertised. Show more

I promised myself that if they ever charged me for this app, I would pay whatever they asked. I got the life membership. Worth every penny! Wma files having been stored on my apple laptop for far too long were converted in a flash. End of story! Show more

Had a large batch of .wma files to convert to MP3, and the Converter did a fantastic job. Super fast, and easy to use. Well worth it to purchase the full version with a one-time fee. Show more

If you're at all serious about managing your music collection, pay for the full version; it's more than worth it for the aggravation it saves. This is highly configurable, produces great output and is dead-simple to use. My gripes are minor: the "trash files after conversion" option doesn't save when shutting down the app, and there's no way to stop the icon from bouncing ad infinitum when a conversion finished. As per the main function of this product, you do not highlight its importance enough. It only converts to MP3. And it converst a very wide array of formats to MP3. Many inputs, one output. Considering the marketplace for these kinds of services/products, you need to highlight that. like this: Many inputs, one output Many inputs, one output Many inputs, one output (Or in CAPS) Comment if you disagree. It's like saying we included the ESRB (in a game) but you hide it where no one can see it except the lawyers. I went and bought another service... AUDIO CONVERTER LITE The free version does more than this paid version. I upgraded to the opaid version due to batch limitations. There seems to be a lot of copying in this digital marketplace. i have been very pleased with the speed and quality of the conversion this app does. i use it to convert songs from my iTunes to MP3 so that i can play them in my car. note: i recommend the Transcend 3.0 USB drive. i also recommend that you put your songs into folders of no more than 254 songs. the software in some cars will not play more than that in a single file/folder. Does the job quickly and efficiently in converting FLAC files to mp3 files!!! Much faster and not buggy like the alternative options of other inferior apps!

Full version has complete range of compression options, attaches tags and art (if that’s what you want), cue splitter works well, replicates folder structure for batch processing. Free version is really just a trial/demo: you have to pay to unlock all these features, and after a few albums it will force you to pay or convert one track at a time. The one-time charge is the best value if you plan on using this regularly. If you are an avid music collector and rip every CD you buy to a compressed format for your phone, walkman, iPod or computer, then I would argue it is worth the money. Show more

Does the job well. The only thing I find irritating - and this is my reason for docking a star - is that it does not remember the changes that I make to window sizes and locations. Also, there appears to be an arbitrary limitation on how much I can drag the edge of the progress window to make it bigger. Other than these things, it's a great app! Very slick program, works great. Free version is nice, but I like to support developers and their products, so bought the Pro version. It was on sale, so that was nice to get a deal. If you upgraded from the app, it was more than buying off the Mac App Store. I highly recommend this app to anyone that needs to convert their sound tracks. Show more
