its an amazing app to learn how to read music notes

I downloaded this after a teacher at a conservatory recommended it to our class piano class and I have it to thank for jumpstarting my sight reading ability. It’s not a replacement for reading and playing actual music, but made it so I could practice anywhere at the drop of a hat, and really helped get me up to speed. If I could make one suggestion to the developers, include playback of the actual pitches as you input your answers, that will help students develop their relative pitch, and will make it all around a more musical experience. Amazing app my piano teacher approves.

It is actually a really fun game. I bought it for distance learning and it is definitely worth it. You can change the range of the notes to your skill and every time you level up mid game it adds something to the music and speeds up. Show more

Gone are the groans when I ask my 6yo to practice note names! He loves this game and is improving his note recognition. Works great on all my iOS devices, except I can’t get it to close on my iPhone X. It doesn’t respond to swiping up from anywhere on the screen. I end up having to reboot the phone. Is there something I’m missing or is this something that needs to be fixed in the next version? Show more

I use this with my suzuki guitar students but we need ledger lines down to a low E under the treble clef staff. It’s a bummer not to have the full low range to train with. Please help! Show more

This was very helpful in completing my journey to read bass clef after knowing treble for about five years.

I love this game! I have all my students buy it to help with their note reading. I especially love that tenor clef was recently added. The only thing it’s missing now is a setting to combine some or all of the clefs in one game to practice switching between them in real time (like for advanced cellists who have to read bass, tenor and treble clef fluidly; or violists who frequently switch between alto and treble clef). Maybe make this upgrade at some point in the future? I would even pay a higher price for a “Pro” version that has this feature. In any case, thanks to the developers for the awesome app! Show more

Fun and helpful for a violinist who dabbles with occasional viola parts. I wish notes on ledger lines came while it is still slow so I could get used to what they look like. Show more

I remember playing this on my teachers’ SmartBoard in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!! I’m a high school SENIOR now! My record is 115 so lets see if I can beat it.

I downloaded staff wars, my daughter needed staff wars live. Wat? What sane engineer has two apps named the same thing that do slightly different things? Put a tab view controller in your app and drop both apps functionality into each one. Easier to maintain, easier to publish and you customer won’t hate you b/c they bought the wrong app. This is when it would be nice if digital goods were more like the real world ... returnable. This is the most fun note naming game I know!

I personally so not think this is a good learning experience. I think this because I can not understand how to play the game and there is very little help. I can not understand how to read the notes since I am a oboe player and started about 6 months ago. A great website to use is music racer! Try it out! Show more
