    So Nice
Thank you! It’s so nice to have such a variety of beautiful music. It’s like fresh air to my mind and soul; In which I believe is needed for every person and every place on this planet. Show more

    Appreciate
I am finding this to be an excellent source of classical music. With the demise of prime phonic is proved to be a wonderful option.

    What a ripoff!
Not only do they want you to pay for their service, which is expensive, but if you want to stream a concert you have to pay for that too. Seriously!!? I clicked on one that cost between 5-250 Euro (5-265 dollars)! You have got to be kidding me! Why would I have to pay for the service AND the concert!? Talk about extortion at the highest level possible. And this during a horrible time all over the world with inflation on the rise. Good job, Idagio. Good job. Sickening! Show more

    My Go-To App
I’ve been a lover of classical music all my life. I ascribe to Nietzsche’s notion that “[w]ithout music, life would be a mistake.” Unlike popular music, a classical piece can be recorded by a wide variety of orchestras and conductors, even, at times, with different instrumentation. In other words, no one size fits all. That is why I’m so pleased with IDAGIO. Its library seems to be limitless. I love that I can find every piece I want to hear on the app, performed by a laundry list of orchestras and conductors. Even some of the recordings I “cut my teeth on” back in the 50s are available here. Thank you, IDAGIO, for helping to sustain my love of music! Show more

    Joy
Mozart in the morning, Liszt at lunch, you get the idea. I so enjoy this app for letting me explore all the many facets of classical music. As I text this review I am listening to Hilary Hahn’s Paris album. Life is good. Show more

    Top notch
I’ve never left an app review. Until now. I wouldn’t say Idagio has changed my life, but it has come pretty close. My work as a musician has flourished with this tool. I’ve discovered volumes of work in the past year with this app. 1) The sheer volume of material is literally bottomless. 2) The quality of material is outstanding. From the best recordings of classical music’s best to the curated playlists, the selection is great. If I wanted to search the Chaconne in D Minor and compare soloists such as Hahn or Perlman, this is your tool. 3) Subscription options are numerous. I’ve recently upgraded my subscription to Lossless quality and am quite sure I’ll never go back to a lesser quality. 4) It’s a beautiful app. 5) The Christmas playlists are hands-down the best Christmas music you will ever find. From ancient medieval chorales, to Beethoven, Bach and Brahms, to Ludovico Einaudi, this app will (almost!) change your life. Show more

    This App Is Awful
The app has a long way to go before Idagio can claim to be a top notch streaming service. Low on features and extremely glitchy

    Unable to access Premium
I have a Premium subscription but no one can explain why I can access it only on my desktop, not on my phone. During COVID that didn’t matter, but now that I want to use it when traveling the app is useless. Show more

Almost a 5 for me, excellent overall
I’m still exploring the app and will amend my review as needed. First my complaints than praises. I have two complaints right now. I would like the ability to sort my faved recordings and tracks by composer instead of alphabetically. Advancing a piece to a certain part will often play a loud buzzing sound as it tries to load the second I’ve moved the slider to. Likewise, the transitions from one movement to the next is often done without a gap, sometimes there is a gap with that buzzing sound. For praises, the selection on here is amazing and the way it’s organized is fantastic. I’ve been loving how I can explore things I would have never found or pieces I’ve been looking for but have not been easy to find on other services. I like that it shows other arrangements of pieces separately. Keep it up, fantastic overall. Show more

    Mediocre search feature
I want to like IDAGIO for its classical music specific library, but it lacks tremendously in one key feature: it’s search function. My biggest complaint is that searches only produce a *few* hits, and sometimes no ability to look at things not shown on the main search result. Think about searching on Spotify, when you type a keyword you could for example click on a “Playlist” tab to see all playlists associated with your keyword. This ability is completely lacking in IDAGIO and you can only select from the 2 or 3 options it presents you. It is infuriating to only have access to a very limited sample of the music collection when I want to see so much more. For example, searching “Mozart” returns only 29 albums - you’re telling me a classical music only app can only provide me 29 albums related to Mozart? Paying for something similar in cost to Spotify (more, if you get the high quality membership) should provide me an app that works on the same level as Spotify, and yet the lacking search features take away from the special focus this app should offer. Best for classical music
In my case, what makes the difference over Spotify is the classification of movements by musical piece (i.e. not a "dumb" list) and the ability to search for other recordings of a given piece. This is the proper way to organize classical music. Happy to pay the monthly fee for this feature, and support the company. Show more

    Still no Alexa skills.
I subscribed for a while in hopes that at some point IDAGIO would finally have Alexa skills. But two years later and still no skills. Makes it very cumbersome to try to connect to either Alexa devices or Google home devices. It does have airplay capabilities but I really want to be able to say “Alexa play at IDAGIO”, but it can’t. I am hopeful that Apple will soon launch primephonic which it has been preparing to do for many months since it bought that app. At least I will know then that there’s a classical music app that has full playback capabilities on Alexa and other devices. Until then I’ll stick with classical music on Spotify. Show more

    Wonderful!
    Excellent selection of music.

    Amazing for opera
I left Apple Music because the way operas are listed is a nightmare. You have to wait 20 years for a song to scroll past to see who is singing what or even, frequently, which track is playing. Enter IDAGIO. Aaaahhh. Thank you for double spacing between tracks. Thank you for organizing the information in such a way that I don’t need to search to find absolutely basic background information. I am so relieved. Show more

    Extremely Helpful
I suffer from insomnia, and this app helps me sleep. I always tune to the melancholic mood and let it play as I sleep, and it does wonders. Even the ads that play are nice and not loud or abrupt, they're easy to listen too and I greatly appreciate that. Well done! Show more

    Not the best interface
I like to download albums to my phone for offline playback. Tracks don’t show up in my collection as individual tracks, instead I have to open the album and then select the track I want to listen to. It’s clunky with too many steps. It should be easier to navigate. Playback button is so small I have to squint to see it. You could stand to learn a thing or two from the Apple music user interface. Make the app easier to use.
