I play many video games and like to record while i am playing them. This app USUALLY works… still a few complaints tho. First off, the game recorder will sometimes lag when you are playing an fps game, luckily it doesn’t when you do not play an fps game. Also, once the video you are recording goes for more than 1 hour it will lag out and sometimes die. However, if you just want to record a 20 minute Micecraft lets play, this is the recorder for you! A lot of the files will not transfer onto Sony Vegas Pro. Mp4 file do not transfer, sometimes audio does not transfer. Wish this program had a cursor highlighter. Show more

Purchased this to record a video and audio training session presented over GOTOMETING. Using a Mac Mini maxed out with RAM and plenty of HD space. By the time the session ends, the video will not save to my hard drive (endless spinning wheel) and therefore usable. Day two, same result. Rating it two stars because I haven’t had the opportunity to use audio only yet, but unfortunatly this isn’t working for me with video. Perhaps its usable for another task which may not require as much time recording video or using audio only. Show more

This is too buggy app, not record sound, can’t quit normally,… Don’t waste your money and time!

When I tried to record an over one hour video, it crashed when I stopped recording, also sometimes I checked record system audio but it is not recorded!

It is easy to set up to capture a full screen, or any partial area. Good. Because it carries no code to record sound directly from the Mac it prompted me to downlaod and install SoundFlower. That process went smoothly. OK. I made three attempts to record an hour long streaming screen video using all 3 video codecs it made available, and NONE of them were able to be read by Quicktime, even with viable extensions just for those codecs. Really? Honestly, I can’t image how people use this softare to get anything from their screen for later use. A waste of $10, I cannot ever recommend this. Show more

Really great and very useful recording app, The best is the sound of the audio/video recording from system sound, and also it support audio from microphone & system sound at the same time. Show more

I found this to be an invaluable tutorial documentor. Took me a while to get use to it. Test drove it several times and became comfortable with it quickly. I highly recommend it. Found no jitters or problem issues. Cheers! Show more

I think it is one pretty useful & easy to use app for screen video recording which I am going to start doing.

It’s simple and easy to use, and recorded audio is perfect. However, it would be nice to have an option to change FPS that videos record/save as. Depending on what’s being recorded, some video playback appears jittery and staggered as though being watched through a fan. Compared to other screencapturing apps, however, AV Recorder is the BEST option available to macs. Show more

New update have the new feature about recording audio from microphone & system audio, It’s very amazing grace, i always want this feature. perfect app.

There’s a 5 second delay before recording that you can’t remove. It does not record system audio. Even when I have the “record system audio” checked, it doesn’t record. It switches to soundflower, but mutes the sound from whatever’s being played on the computer. Dumb program. Waste of money. Show more

I thought this app was going to record what was shown on my screen, but it doesn't. Every time I went to do a screen recording, it's immediately quit. So this app does nothing. Not even worth a penny until it gets FIXED. Do not buy it!!! Show more
