    The best mobile DAW (updated)
Support is responsive and helped me out right away when there were some glitches after the last update. It doesn’t replace my desktop and Reaper, but Auria Pro is my go-to for working on music wherever I go. Show more

    Crashing
App is crashing whenever you try to do virtually anything. Have to switch back to presonus now

    This app is Awesome-ish
I really want to adore your app but the amount of time I lose recovering sessions or just restarting sessions due to inexplicable crashes and error makes impossible to fall in love. I’m rooting for you Auria because you have real game changer potential BUT the “not if but when” crash factor is more than frustrating. Show more

Waste of money as of now
Can’t run without crashing for more than a minute at a time when trying to record/edit midi.

Wait for developers to fix bugs.
Auria Pro is has been one of the most problematic iOS apps I have ever purchased. iOS musicians should think twice before spending $49.99 on Auria Pro. The issues I have had are as follows: 1) Using AUV3 and IAA that use samples, e.g. Audiolayer, Sampletank, Beathawk, etc will be out of tune. My workaround was using Auria with AUM and loading the sample based instruments there. Even then projects have to be 48k or you’ll get crackling. 2) UI problems: when an instrument is loaded into a channel strip it won’t display the name until you switch back and forth between the mixer and arrange window. Lag when resizing plugin windows. Enabling and disabling Show Icons in region editor will cause the window to not display buttons correctly. 3) Sometimes when MIDI notes in a region needs to be edited they can’t be selected. Drawing in MIDI—in regions—notes requires selecting the next interval for the note to be drawn in the desired pitch. Quantizing notes does not move them to the nearest grid value as expected. When trying for quantize multiple notes (chord) only some notes will moved to the selected grid value. If you want to create music with Auria Pro you will likely spend more time trying to figure how to work around issues than you will making music. I purchased Auria Pro so that I could use my Logic Pro EXS instruments in Lyra and because it allows users to create tempo and meter changes. Hopefully the devs will fix a lot of these issues in the next update; I’d hate to feel like I wasted my money and time on this app. Show more

    Midi keeps crashing the app
It’s a really good DAW, I just hope they updated their app more. Every time I open the midi icon it crashes.

    Nothing works (update)
I will be happy to change my review if somebody actually gets back with me. Just spent $50, and nothing works. I have YouTube, googled, tried to sign up for the form. I created a login for the forum and it won’t let me add a question until it verifies my account. The problem is, it won’t send me an email to verify my account. I am using an iPad Pro. There should be no issues. I have already checked permissions in the settings, everything is good to go. I feel like I just got took. No change. I asked on the forum, I send e mails, and no one has gotten back with me. Terrible customer service and horrible app for iPad Pro. Show more

    High Hopes
I had high hopes for this daw, however I am running into a bit of issues. When turning up or turning down volume on the mixer, it’s not showing the levels, it’s staying at one consistent level even though I can hear levels are going up and down. This is very frustrating considering mixing is very visual. So there’s that issue. Also things seems very buggy, buttons get hit without me tapping it. Tracks are not syncing or staying together even when I have the multi tool selected. I can see what they are trying to do but they are a lot of issues. Also have registered my email and still haven’t received what I’m was told i would. Have been debating between this and the other go to daw out there for about three weeks, went with this one for the fabfilter plug ins (which you still have to pay for, thought they came with it. Not upset they don’t tho, I understand. Honestly so far I don’t see the big hoopla and feel kinda screwed, I bought for myself for my birthday (it’s on Thursday);and ehh, just not too happy. I will continue to try to make it work for me. But maybe this isn’t for everyone, or maybe I’m experiencing some issues others aren’t. But to not visually see my audio in the mixer is wack af. Great app but a little buggy and time consuming to work around
First... It’s a killer app for the iPad. The imagineering and production of this app is great. Having said that, it has some problems (audio disappearing) that require tweaking. And I’d rather work. So far no deal breakers though just time eaters. I dig it. Just had a scenario that ate too much time and I missed an opportunity. Please keep working on it. Thanks Show more

    Export stems is extremely tedious
I’d give more stars if I could easily export stems to Dropbox or files. File handling in this app is tedious. Also. You cannot record while looping like you can in reaper. Those two features are critical to me. Show more

100% useless for midi and interface
This program does not work with the Focusrite scarlet 2i2 usb audio interface. It won’t read more than one channel and won’t pick up that it is reading a usb device, still insists its internal mic. It also does not read USB midi input. Pretty much 100% useless and I am happy to remove this review if someone can help me or give me a refund. Show more

#1 iOS DAW but recent issues
This was once my main DAW, until it began having MiDi issues and hasn’t been fixed for a long time. It was once untouchabley flawless back when they implemented their own midi keyboard and pads within the app. I don’t know if it’s an issue with the dev’s at Auria (doubtful) or with Apple (most likely), but I just want it to work like it use to. It’s a bummer loosing critical features. Show more

i like it but it crashes a LOT
just about every time i use it, it will crash at some point. its a strange interface. i use an ipad pro 12. latest model every time it crashes i have to reset the interface to use ipad pro optimizations or i cannot see the entire interface the mixdowns take forever and um, it appears not to be using multi core to do mixdowns, it really should be... there are other pain points as well, but i love the layout of this, and just wish it didn't have these issues, and then there are other minor issues, but the output quality is good, if you have 40 minutes to watch a mixdown, versus about 5 in cubasis for the same file... i dont understand whats going on here, but would love some developer feedback, i'll help you troubleshoot. i've got 22 years of SA experience running linux and doing audio engineering, so im not technically inept.. email me. uncoil.org there's a button at the bottom Show more

Since iProTools is only available in fever dreams...
This bad boy on an iPad Pro actually makes for some truly serious professional audio mixing capability on a mobile device. Choose Auria Pro over Cubasis 3 for the foreseeable future for sure. Editing in Auria Pro is a touch screen revelation. Most flexible routing of any iPad DAW, hands down. Effects are sonically stellar. The audio/MIDI quantizing and processing make breathing life into your sequences a breeze. Only real con is the lack of a serious rhythmic sampler sequencer tool. Most people’s sample libraries consist of wav or aiff one shots. Who the hell wants to fiddle with making an sf2 instrument every time they put together a kit? At the end of the day it’s really only a minor annoyance that’s easily covered by any number of decent AU plugins. Show more

No longer a Total Waste of Time and Money!
I bought the pro version of this app and a ton of the add-ons. I initially loved Auria. Now, the app is completely worthless. None of the add-ons or demo songs will decompress. With no update apparently in sight, I’m out a few hundred dollars and hours of frustration. The new update seems to have fixed everything! Show more

Read the positive reviews *between the lines*!
I bought this based on on all the positive reviews and got all of the FabFilters - the best plug-ins I’ve ever used, all are top notch both in UI design and sound quality. The app looked like it’s a straight port from PC, but that didn’t scare me... at first. I spent some time to learn everything (learning curve is really not that steep, for BM3 I had to watch some videos on YouTube, but this one hardly needed a manual). But what I’ve discovered was that the UI is seriously flawed. I discovered this after buying all the in-app purchases, so can’t get a refund now.. The problem: ALL of the fx (AUv3, IAA etc), show up in one big list! No categories, no icons, just one HUGE list. Some names are even cut off because they don’t fit into the menu box! Every single other DAW gives some sort of category and icons (Cubasis, Beatmaker 3, AUM, ApeMatrix..) all of them, because that’s not a “feature” it’s a standard. And this is just fx selection menu. The other selection boxes are also affected to the point that the items within are garbled beyond recognition! It’s just feels unfinished/abandoned. Do yourself a favor and google this, you’ll see images and judge for yourself. Fabfilter plugins were the reason I bought this DAW, but I wish someone told me about the DAW itself before! Even after numerous requests, the developer still will not implement a proper FX selection menu with categories (AU/IAA/internal) and icons. We are not machines to go through such huge list of plain text! But it’s been like this for years so unlikely anything will ever change. How hard can it be to fix this? Fabfilter plugins are now available as separate AUv3 so you can use them in any DAW. I will buy them all again and delete this ~$200 waste of money. I could keep it around for mixing I suppose, FabFilters are all at the top of that crazy list... but if I want to use other plugins, having to go through that list is just a nightmare! I have so many awesome plugins some of which include several variations (appearing more than once in that list), plus some come in IAA and AUv3, making that list even longer. The thing that really puzzles me why Auria feels abandoned when this DAW has a lot of good features already in it, ahead of some of the other iOS DAWs currently available... Should be easy to bring it to the condition where it’s on top of the market! Show more

    Go To DAW
I really love this DAW and all its features. If there was one feature I would love added it’ll be the ability to open at least 2 audio units simultaneously. Also an update with a more modern UI would be refreshing! Show more

Doesn’t work on a iPad Pro at all
I have other DAW software that works fine. Bought this yesterday and it will not record from the internal microphone. Yes I allowed it access to the internal microphone. What’s up with this? Was it a waste of $50? Show more
