    Best of all!!!
I have many synth apps (most if not all of the big name iPhone synth apps) and this is hands down the best of the bunch! I have no regrets with this purchase! Show more

    Another great synth !!
Another great synth from this company! I thought this would be very similar to Grain Science . Sound quality yes . This synth has so much depth . I can see so many things it is capable of .From complex pads (omnisphere or some giant hybrid I can't think of right now ) to super phat bass (like massive) Show more

This Is A Very Lovely Synth ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It Excels at atmospheres, pads, & Ambiences ... That to me is it's strong point - very much reminds me of the Wavestation but honestly a much deeper sound - if it could vector (& maybe it can) that would suit this synth nicely ... The other categories - leads, etc I don't think are great .... Partly cos I'm partial <--- see what I did there ;-) the sound engine really lends itself to Ambient & swirly Ethereal music ... Anything from Steve Roach to Cocteau Twins -- so ya I'm falling in love with this synth ! No matter what mode you're in -it works in portrait or landscape (thank you !) The UI is beautiful and has lots of intuitive layers ... Looks much like a really beautiful weather app ... Awesome ! & loving it Much more than your other synths ... In terms of releases...This is an instant Hit ! Keep up with this ;-) Show more

    Useful!
Mitosynth has accepted samples from exotic apps (Stria, iVCS3, Borderlands) and formed those samples into useable patches that play in tune. Additionally, the additive synth engine has proven flexible and unique. Even if you can't find a waveform you want in the library, you may draw your waveform in the "Painter" option. I've made timbers that run from ethereal to orchestral to rude and yet I feel that I've just scratched the surface of this deep app. Short version: you need Mitosynth! Show more

Another A+ addition to my studio
I love this synth. It's so deep and complex you can make just about any noise you can imagine. Was on my wish list for a while.

A contender for the best ipad iPhone synth app
This app is beautifully designed. And very intuitive. I own mitosynth and grain science and I had waited to get mitosynth because I thought it was mainly useful for pads and ambient but how wrong I was this is a true all rounder and a) it modulates everything even modulates the modulators b) load your own samples one shot or looping (I was able to upload hundreds of single cycle waveforms and now have a wave table oscillator ) c) patch tagging system, I wish there where more apps with a patch tagging system just those features makes this an app worth so much more then what they are charging ... Btw great tech support ! Show more

I must say, the most immense evolving synth tones on iOS.
    A+++

Especially good for evolving sounds, pads
There are, by now, several very fine synth apps for iPad: Sunrizer, Thor, Nave, Animoog, iMini, iSEM. They all have their place, but for evolving sounds and pads, Mitosynth is probably king. Four things make it stand out: (1) an elegant interface; (2) the ability to combine samples with other types of synthesis (including additive); (3) a very nice reverb effect; and (4) the ability to modulate almost anything with its own envelope or LFO. If you're only going to get one synth app...
This should be the one! The presets are very playable. Gorgeous, warm sounds - rich, lush overtones. I'm not even past the preset A's yet (and arranging the presets in alphabetical order is a nice, user-friendly touch) and Mitosynth has already suggested a number of musical ideas. Sliding your finger across the onboard keyboard produces a beautiful pitch bend which is particularly effective on the string sounds. I know this instrument can produce techno arpeggiated sounds too, but it's a real challenge to turn digital data into powerful, emotional sounds. Wooji Juice has done it! I should add that their customer support is top-notch - helpful and timely. I like this company's fresh attitude! (And their user manual is a pleasure to read - when's the last time you could say that about a synth manual?) This is the best $15 musical purchase I've ever made! I recommend that you buy it - I'm confident you won't be disappointed either! Show more

One of the elite iOS Synths
I held off on MitoSynth for a little while, not because I had any doubts about its quality, but simply because there are so many other options out there. Having now pulled the trigger after a recent update, I have to say that this is one of the deepest synths out there, with a beautiful, no-nonsense interface and lush, warm sounds. The key thing to note about MitoSynth is that it has all the features you could ask for. Full compatibility with AudioBus and IAA, as well as Core and VirtualMIDI. Plus, a developer that will keep working on it so that the expected issues with the moving target that is iOS won't cripple the app. One thing to note - if you aren't an ace sound designer (which I definitely am not), MitoSynth doesn't have quite the gigantic library of presets that some other synths have. Look at something like TERA Synth or Thor if that's your thing. However, I believe it comes with around 140, and they're sufficient to get you started. I did notice a trend towards pads and atmospheric stuff, but some third-party patches absolutely demonstrate that MitoSynth can be made to do just about anything. Plus, I am told by those who know that this is actually a much more beginner-friendly app for sound design than many of the alternatives. I would still recommend Sunrizer or Magellan as a "first" iOS synth, but MitoSynth is absolutely worth the money and manages to be an insanely powerful synthesizer without excessive bloat or complexity. Well done! Show more

Amazing synth sound design tool for music & sound design!!!
Downloaded Mitosynth while taking my synth and sound design class at the Art Institute Chicago. Amazing, fluid, and easy synth design with this app if you have basic knowledge of additive & hybrid synth. That's capable of making sounds similar to modular synths but also warm texture rich. My applications with this is recording in Garageband or directly recording performances through DI into console board DigiDesign Control 24 or SSL Duality in the studio. As a producer and recording engineer this great addition. Allows me to design my own sounds on the go without hauling a MacBook using Reason or Logic Pro. Show more

    Unfreakingbelievable
OK class, I have so many of these apps that it verges on the obscene but my rule of thumb is that if ZL approves, then I must add it to the arsenal. I have barely scratched the surface of this mindf*#%k but it holds infinite potential. Thanx again ZL. We are blessed to be living in the in the Golden Age of Creative Frontiers that will someday make the Renaissance seem like the fifties so do something unique and original with this technology. It deserves nothing less. Show more

    Outstanding and professional
Mitosynth is a great sounding synth. It has depth and character and is very unique!

    Congratulations!
Like many people here I have a lot of good synth apps. This is one of the best. I haven't had it long, but the preset sounds are deeply impressive. Brief playing with editing left a big smile on me. We are living in a wonderful period of exploding music apps. The people who write these things are heroes. Show more

    Really huge synths and noises
This is really deep but fun hugeness! That always rewards the explorer OR the so called EXPERT!The ability to use the internal mic and mix those waves as a component of the patch is so well thought out! Plus the automation sequencer ads lots of modulator goodness! Wow! peace Christo Show more

This new sequencer is too good to be true (but it's true!)
This synth is so jam packed with cool options that it's almost intimidating. Played with the new sequencer for 5 minutes and am so impressed I had to fawn about it here. Show more

    Simple But Complex
This is just a good app. The sounds that you get from it very expressive and gorgeous. It's a pretty intuitive app to learn how to use but it has a lot of complexity for those who like to really dig in. Out of all the great apps for iOS, this is one of my top five favorites. Show more
