It's a great synth. Not much more that needs to be said.

Mitosynth offers unique combinations of synthesis techniques with a well-thought-out interface. It is a powerful and deep synth with a unique yet versatile personality. The manual is clearly written, but with no pictures; so if you are reading from within the app, you can’t look at the interface to see what is being referred to. I strongly recommend opening the docs from a separate device so you can tool around in the interface while you read. In a previous review I criticized the on-screen controls for lack of fine-tuning, but was given a friendly hint in Wooji's update description. If you are turning a knob, you can drag vertically downward to get slower value change (and vice versa). Pheeew. That makes a big difference. These envelopes sure can be made quite snappy. Yea. I have a "thing" for synthesizers. Maybe even an addiction? I've always been a fan of this developers synths over the years and Mito is a very interesting sonic pleasure cruise. It takes a little getting used to with the menu swiping and making sense of the flow, but it works. The addition of drawing waves is awesome! Now with IAA and transposable scales I just can't get enough of Mito! The wide open sound designing is fantastic. If you're into creating your own synths then this will very likely float your boat. Mitosynth is simply STUNNING. Beautiful, fluid interface, powerful editing parameters, jaw dropping sound, extremely stable operation on my ipad mini, highly useful presets. I cannot recommend this app enough! Very well done, developers!!! Show more

This is the next must have synth on iOS! Very nice depth to the sounds and they don't remind you of the standard synth fare. Crisp pulsating pads and glass sounds, growling basses and piercing leads! Get it! Show more

Oh wow! This synth is just beautiful in every category from the gorgeous interface to the complex, evolving, ethereal sounds it produces. The soundscapes it is capable of remind me of Omnisphere, only with a better interface. I read a review online that mentioned the sounds being reminiscent of the Cocteau Twins and I agree with that. I have only played with it for a short while but am completely blown away, prompting this review. 5 stars seems an insult. Show more

Really nice App! Great attempt at UI uniqueness. One minor point - it needs a master volume control on the Performance page, many presets volumes vary greatly

Lots of fun and good sounds!

Wooji Juice has just created the most beautifully designed and intuitive synth for iOS. A lot of thought has clearly gone into the multitouch controls too. The knobs are very easy to use and offer very course and fine grain control all in one gesture. Apparently, the developers see the iPad as more than just a simulator of old synths. They've gone and completely shifted the paradigm. No more complex routing, just clearly labeled contextual menus that keep you informed about every step of the sound creation process. And the sound? Absolutely top notch. My only complaint is that they could have added even more tweakable parameters and still kept it simple because the UI is just that good. Still, an incredibly powerful synth with ridiculous amounts of modulation control. Definitely more 'addictive' than many other synths I own. ;) Show more

Stands shoulder to shoulder, ( maybe even tiptoeing above? apps like Nave , Animoog, Imini ISem. Definatly a professional synth with amazing sound sculpting opportunities! No matter what Price, buy it! It is a must have synth. Show more
