    Simple and effective
This app is everything it needs to be and nothing it doesn’t. It’s not fancy or bright and colorful. That’s what makes it perfect. It’s helped me learn to read sheet music when I’ve never been able to before. Learning to site read when you memorize how to play a song quickly makes it extremely hard to actually learn to effectively read music. Show more

    Learning breakthrough after 40 years!
OMG! I’ve struggled to learn how to sight read for 40 years. My ADHD brain has gained more confidence reading music in the past 15-minutes than anything else I’ve ever tried. This is a stupidly simple, yet masterfully designed app for learning. I’m so excited. I think this will open whole new worlds of musical exploration for me. Thank you, Ryan! Show more

E on Gclef on grand staff does not work when in practice mode with screen keyboard on iPhone.
I like the app but discovered when using full on screen keyboard on my iPhone with grand staff that the E in top space does not work.

Does it work with an electric piano?

    Practice made easy
Thank you for making this app. As a beginner, it is exactly what I was looking for.

    Great App
This app is very helpful for memorizing the staff. Once you have the staff mostly figured out it's also a great touch to have the one hand melodies to play to keep practiced without getting too bored. +1 for allowing lesson skips! Show more

I’m a beginner and just learning. this app is amazing.

Very good app, just one problem
It’s very easy to understand and use, plus the random notes require you to learn. My only issue is Clair de Lune doesn’t sound like it at all. It also could do with some more songs in general. Show more

Easy to use and very customizable
This is a great app for practicing sight-reading. I say this as someone with a music education degree. I will be recommending this to music students.

    Awesome
For anyone who’s trying to learn to read sheet music this is an invaluable too for making fast progress. Highly engaging and easy to understand!

    Fantastic!
I honestly can say that this is one of the best tools for learning I’ve ever used. The app is simple and straight forward without any distracting complicated features. It feels like it’s designed to get you off the app and onto real sheet music as fast as possible. Also, I absolutely love the fact that the developer didn’t fall into the greed trap of spamming the app with ads. There are NO ads what so ever. NO subscription. NO huge pay wall. I wish more app developers would build apps this way! I will GLADY support the developer and the app with a purchase. Show more

The app is easy to learn
I’ve been goofing around on the piano for years. But I still have to work too hard to identify notes. This app is a really big deal for me. It’s worth a year or two of occasional practicing on the piano. I’m very excited… Show more

    I love this game
I love this games because..... I do piano and this helps me read notes. I’m learning how to read notes, I usually write down notes(especially when I’m reading left hand). My piano teacher is made me get this app so I can get better at reading note so I don’t have to waste my time just trying to figure out what the note is. Show more

    Definitely recommend for adult beginners
As an adult beginner, reading notes has been the hardest thing about learning the piano. You can connect your digital piano and use actual keys to practice playing and reading notes at the same time. Probably the best feature of this app Show more

    Works well mostly
I think this is a great app and I feel like it’s helping me. I have a keyboard with Bluetooth MIDI and I’m able to connect to the app and play on my keyboard. Great app. One issue I have with the app is that every time I open the lesson list and try to choose a specific lesson from the list, the app completely crashes and shuts down. Consider this part of this review a bug report. Thanks for building the app. Show more

    Lots of improvements
[I tend to write essays, so long story short: a super simple, not very motivating app that doesn’t have too many options.] The app is very easy to use - it’s a very simple app, and that’s good in some ways, but it’s not very motivating. If you could use the stars to buy, I don’t know, a background or something, just to make the app a little more appealing, I think it would go a long way. Another thing, there are 3 practice songs (Ode to Joy, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Minuet in G) which is annoying because after three tries of one song it doesn’t require any work because you simply know the notes by heart. If there were a few more free songs, it would make students rely more on skill than memory. There is no element of note lengths - as long as it’s the right note, it’s correct. I can see, however, that it would be annoying if you needed to hold the note for a super specific amount of time or else you would get it wrong. The only option for connecting a keyboard is connecting a MIDI keyboard - I don’t know what that is but my keyboard is certainly not a MIDI keyboard. Connecting a keyboard is the only way to use the app without having to physically press the piano at the bottom of the screen. Having more options for connecting a keyboard would be good because students can learn exactly where on a full piano the right octave would be. (I noticed on the app you have to press the note in the right octave, which is a very nice touch!) For me, no issues such as crashing. My general advice would be to add more options in a few aspects of the app: song choices, and connecting a keyboard. Maybe you could also make the app more visually appealing. Thanks for reading this… you know what I mean. Have a great day/week/life! Show more

    Phenomenal
This app is a great way to brush up on your knowledge of notation and even learn some new stuff about music!

    App Crash
i am certainly not one to write reviews, but i got to the farthest i needed to before paying for it so i decided to just pay the $3 and keep going. but now the app is crashing every time i try to click to advance. i deleted the app and redownloaded it and then i lost all my progress. i really liked learning through here but now i guess i have to find something else. Perfect
This app is not going to teach you piano. It’s just the best drilling software to make the notes stick. Made a huge difference for me. Picked piano back up at 50 and the brain was slow. Not any more. Thanks so much. Show more
