    Great for beginners, even old ones
    Played at guitar all my life but never took seriously. Now retired, Jamplay has helped me learn a lot in a short time

    Interface is a joke
    Content is solid. But the interface is almost a pre-alpha. Missing so many features, especially compared to GuitarTricks, which feels like a polished, finished product by comparison. I'm gonna ride out my year membership because it has some great lessons and songs I wanna learn, but I won't renew unless they fix their awful interface. Show more

    Great content, navigation lacking
    This iPad app is an improvement over using the website. Content is diverse and very good to excellent depending on the instructor. Supplemental material very useful and necessary. Multi-camera angles a big plus. App navigation could be better, e.g bookmarks lacking, sessions reset to beginning, not intuitive. Still, one of the best sites available for the money. Show more

    Possible iOS 10 Incompatability & Consistent Signing Out
    From my experience, I am unable to view any lesson from the app. I can access backing tracks and that's it. On both my iPad Pro 9.7 (iOS 10.1) and iPhone 6 (also iOS 10.1). Also, every time I leave the app to do something else, it signs me out. It's gotten to the point when I just delete the app, because it is basically useless. I purchased my subscription so I can use this service on the go for quick and easy access. I could have easily chosen a free service, but this one offers so much more. But, even though it offers a lot more, I am turned away from it. Especially since when you go to the website, and it says "hey, we offer apps for your device!", and then you try them out, and they fail in almost every way. Then the suggested action is "use the website". That defeats the entire point of having a mobile app. So until things get fixed, I will just find an alternative. At the time of writing, this app shows it hasn't been updated since last year. A lot has happened with iOS since last year. There should be consistent updates and performance fixes for new devices and OS versions. Show more

    No sound
    Trying to use this with my jam play account, but no sound through my iPad. I have to use safari browser to access jam play, then videos have sound. This app us useless for me Show more

    App support is terrible
    Following is what I've sent to support over and over without any response at all. I am having to use the browser supported JamPlay because the app, on my iPad , often has no sound. For everything else on my iPad, sound is FINE! The online browser version is quite different from the app and I am not happy with not being able to use the JamPlay app which is a superior experience and infinitely easier to navigate. Even though everything else on my iPad has sound, I nonetheless did the following things: shutdown and restart, uninstall/reinstall of the app, etc. I called Customer Support who also turned out to be tech support. This woman was in no way tech support and was not friendly. She kept saying over and over that I had the mute on. NO- iPad was not on mute. This is a problem specific to your app. Twice yesterday I got lucky and the app had sound for about 15-20 minutes. And yes, I have high speed internet which is very reliable and averages about 75 Mbps .Please help, I love JamPlay but can't stand using the browser version. BTW, the JamPlay Cust and Tech Support woman told me she could do nothing better and would have to use the online version or ask for a cancellation. She was about as useful as a broken string and had a rattlesnake demeanor. She does not present a good "face" for your company. I am extremely unhappy. Show more

    Simply Amazing
    Ok, not so much the app itself, but the SITE. What an amazing way to learn guitar. I'd rate the app alone maybe only 3* because of a few irritating quirks. Videos play back much better on a computer compared to the sometimes jerky iPad play. Show more

    Good App that helps me learn
    I play electric guitar, but as a lefty. This doesn't seem to acknowledge lefties. I know it's a small minority, but it would be great to appeal to them. Otherwise, this seems really good. I don't like that the app and the website don't share information. They have a progress report and completed lessons view, but you should decide what version you are going to use and stick with it. I use the website to print supplemental info which is usually chords and tabs. I use the App for my lessons. A lot of going back and forth, but if print is available on the App I haven't figured out how to do it. I started on the beginner level to correct bad habits, and there is a lot available. I'm not sure if I selected the best instructor, but I've been with him for several lessons so I don't want to quit. Show more

    I love this app. They offer so much learning from beginner to advance, electric and acoustic, and even how to set up your home studio.

    Fantastic application, it is fast and easy to use. JamPlay has so much to offer. I am impressed with the wealth of information this app brings to a learning student to the music professional on stage. The multiple approaches to to learning are truly amazing.     Great app. I have taken years of lessons but this keeps it fresh. Lots of choice of music . Sometimes issues in navigating so many styles
